Advantages: The laundry smells good and feels ultra soft.

During the Summer months I tend to use a little less fabric conditioner that I would maybe use throughout the Autumn/Winter months. If all goes to plant then I like to line dry as much of my washing as I possibly can, as it blows in the wind it seems to pick up that natural freshness and it smells good.
On the otherhand if the laundry has to be tumble-dried then it is good to use some fabric conditioner in the washing process, it helps to soften the fabric and it adds a special fragrance that may be artificially produced but never the less it is good too.

I am sure that I have tried and tested practically every fabric conditioner that is produced, some are far better than others. I find that some of the supermarket own brands, especially the value buys are well left alone.

Lenor is among one of my favourites and I have really taken to the Lenor Burst of Sunshine, it has a really zingy fresh smell that is very appealing.
But the Lenor Spring Awakening concentrate fabric conditioner was being offered at a very competitive price at my local Wilkinson's store last week , so I decided to give it a whirl.

The One litre bottle of Lenor Spring Awakening concentrate fabric conditioner provides enough liquid for 28 washes, unless you are a bit heavy handed like me and you tend to add a little more liquid because you love the fragrance on the clothes.
The Lenor Spring Awakening is a sky blue coloured liquid, I have to say that the colour looks slightly dull if you compare it to the Lenor Burst of Sunshine bright lemon.

The Lenor fabric softener may be concentated but it is not a thick liquid and as you pour it out of the recyclable plastic bottle and into the allocated dispenser in the washing machine you need to get your aim straight to avoid spillage.
The liquid is strongly perfumed, it is very hard to describe the fragrance but I would say that it is a good mixture of sweet florals.

Once you have added your one capful to the washing machine that is the job finished, the washing machine does the rest.
Toward the end of the washing cycle the fabric softener is released into the drum alongside the laundry and it then is allowed to run through the fibres of the fabric.
Once the washing cycle has stopped and you remove your clothes from the machine you can instantly smell the Lenor fabric softener. The newly washed fabric smells lively and fresh and it is altogether very pleasing.

Once the laundry has been through the tumble dryer it comes out unbelievably soft and if you start to fold the laundry as soon as it is taken out of the drum then a lot of it will be fine without ever seeing an iron.
The Lenor fabric conditioner leaves the woollens feeling really soft and very fragrant. I love my underwear to smell fresh and when it comes to bedding there is nothing better than getting into clean soft scented sheets.

But there are a few things that I personally do not use fabric conditioner on, I find that the tea towels smell brilliant but they seem to lose their drying power if they have been softened.
You are going to be surprised when I say that I do not use Lenor on my bath towels either, most people just love soft fluffy bath towels but I find that the fabric softener makes them so soft that it is then hard to dry your skin properly.
I am a funny old thing !

I admire the Lenor packaging theory, the recyclable bottles contain concentated liquid that takes up far less space ( in fact 70% less space ) therefore it costs less to transport. Transportation pollutes the environment and heightens our CO2 emissions so less transporting cuts back on both of these problems.

The normal RRP is just under £2 a litre but I paid £1.59 for mine in Wilkinson's.

Summary: Soft clothes and soft sheets, what more could we ask for ?
