“ Brand: Lenor / Type: Fabric Softener / Category: Laundry „
Fabric softener/conditioner is something that I get through an awful lot of in my home. I swap and change plenty and usually buy whatever is on offer and this is another one that I have been using recently due to it being on offer in my local Premier store for just 99p........in fact I bought a few bottles in different scents and took the opportunity to stock up as each bottle offered 21 washes!
Now the bottle I have in front of me is not called Sunshine Burst but Sunshine Breeze and as far as I can tell this has simply had a name change in recent times and it is actually the same product which makes sense since the last review written on here was in 2011 and we are now in 2013 so Lenor must have had a slight update on this one!
The bottle is mainly see through and made of clear, robust plastic and it has a twist on blue plastic cap to the top of it. Around the front of there is a mainly yellow coloured plastic label and on the front of that there is a picture shown of what looks like a flower and a piece of fruit of some kind and we are told that it is Lenor Summer Breeze '4x longer freshness' and that as I mentioned earlier my sized bottle provides 21 washes and also on my bottle I am told that it has an rrp of £1.99 (remember I bought mine on offer though!) then other information on the back and the sides of the bottle include being told a bit about the product, the ingredients and dosage advice are given, the size is stated (which in this case is 750ml), there are some warnings listed and contact details for the manufacturer are stated. Nice enough, informative packaging this is.
The Fabric Conditioner:
The fabric conditioner is yellow in colour and it has a slight gloss to it and it pours well out of its bottle. Its fairly runny and simple to use though not like water....it really isn'tt hat thin!
The scent of this is beautiful and rather rich but really, really hard to describe as it doesn't have a distinctive aroma! To my nasal passages it smells a bit floral, rather sweet and has a sort of shea butter undertone to it. There is an aroma of fruit in the blend too but its really subtle and sort of forms more of a base note than anything. No where on the bottle are we told what this is meant to smell like but all I can say is that in my opinion this is a rather feminine scent, very strong but really, really nice!
There are directions on how much to use given on the bottle and you can either use the cap that is on the top of the bottle to do this, or do as this lazy bones does and simply pour as much as you think into your washing machine drawer after adding your usual washing powder/liquid....whatever.
The scent of this is apparent from when the washing machine is on, filing my home with its gorgeous scent and then when my wash is done, although my washing is still wet/damp my fabrics feels really soft but not like they have any residue left over from this within them and the smell is wonderful.
I then allow my washing to dry and what I am left with is fibres that feel soft in my fabrics and stuff is certainly easier to iron. Even if I store say bedding away for a couple of weeks they still smell wonderful after all that time too.
All in all this really does get the thumbs up from me. It smells great, makes stuff easier to iron and above all it doesn't agitate me or my boyfriends sensitive skin and believe me some fabric conditioners, especially heavily scented ones can really, really make me itch!
Thumbs up form this household, its a beauty this one!
Available from all good supermarkets etc and in this size, unless on offer expect to pay around the two pound mark however as I have already pointed out Premier Stores currently has this on offer for just 99p a bottle!
Overpowering, sickly sweet smell. So revolting I had to rewash all my clothes. The smell is so strong it will give you a headache. Avoid! Gave one star as could not give zero stars.
I'm sure I saw bottles of this in the main supermarkets about 6 months ago. Not sure if you still get it there, but I found some of this in my local Poundland for the bargain price of ............ £1. I sniffed it, thought it smelt ok, so had to buy it. Afterall I do like a bargain.
This comes in a 750ml bottle which looks like the other concentrated Fabric Softeners. It is quite a flat bottle but kinda wide in a way. The screw top lid is easy enough to open and the lid doubles up as the measuring device. The bottle states that you will get 21 washes out of it.
I don't like the look of the bottle that much. It is pretty bright with the orange-y bottle and the label which is orange with red on it. Suppose it lives up to it's name of the Burst Of Sunshine name.
This is quite a strong scent, but not overly. It smells a bit like a hot sunny day, with some floral scents mixed through. I think it smells quite fruity as well. Checking the bottle it states that there is Fresh Jasmine and Green Leaves with a hint of Cassis. I like the scent of Cassis and wished there was a bit more of that in this.
This isn't my favourite scent out there. It is nice, it freshens and softens your clothes and although the scent it quite strong, it is nice that it lingers on your clothes through the day and I could smell this on my clothes the next day, but it is just too a floral scent for me. I prefer the Sleep Sensations, Sprink Awakening scent for fabric softeners, but I would try others in the range and especially for the price I paid for this one.
I was recently sent a sample of new Lenor Infusions Touch Effects concentrated fabric softener in the post. I was keen to try it out as I am quite a fan of the Lenor 'Infusions' range especially the Black Diamond and Lotus Flower fragrance.
The new touch effects range claims to continue releasing the smell of the fabric softener when you rub your clothes whilst wearing them. Well I must admit I was quite sceptical about this, as usually I find the clothes smell nice when you remove them from the washing machine, but the smell does fade, and often after hanging the clothes outside to dry, I can no longer smell the fabric softener.
I cannot afford to use a tumble dryer all the time, although I can always smell the fabric softener on the clothes for a little longer than when drying them outside.
Now that Spring and Summer are on the way ( I hope!) and most of my washing will be hung on the line to dry, it would be nice to find a fabric softener that I can still smell on my clothes once dry, and I think I have found it with Lenor Touch Effects.
I used my free sample of 'Burst of Sunshine', washed and dried my clothes, and to my surprise this really does work! When you touch your clothes you can smell the fragrance. Proctor & Gamble have come up with quite an innovative idea here.
I was so impressed that I went to Asda and bought a bottle. I decided to try the 'green' bottle which is called 'Barefoot In The Grass' as after standing in Asda smelling the 3 fragrances available in this range, this one appealed to me most. It states on the bottle ' New Lenor Barefoot In The Grass gradually releases uplifting aromas with every touch, revitalizing your senses with a splash of dewdrop freshness'.
It cost me £1.95 for a 750ml bottle, which it states holds enough for 21 washes. I noticed in Morrisons the other day it is on offer at £1.24 so I bought a bottle of 'Burst of Sunshine'. It states to use 2/3 - 1 capfull, so I used around 2/3 and found this adequate.
I have been enthusing about this product to anyone who will listen and cannot imagine using any other fabric conditioner now. Yes you can buy cheaper but it is worth paying more for something which is good. I would highly recommend you try it yourself, and prepare to be amazed!
Lenor Infusions Burst of Sunshine - Feel invigorated
Lenor is a brand name of fabric softener and paper towels produced by Procter & Gamble and is sold in Europe. It has been around since the 1960's.
Their new range of fabric softeners are called Touch Effects and they are the first Lenor collection to release invigorating bursts of freshness. Basically, once you have washed your clothes using this fabric softener the smell will stay on your clothes and then when you move about in them or touch them during the day the smell will actually come out of the clothes. I have to say that this actually does work exactly like this. It's quite amazing actually but I do find that if I touch my clothes after wearing them all day I can smell the fabric softener on them. It is not as strong as the first time you put on the items but you can smell it and it does keep them nice and fresh for a long time
Lenor are marketing these fabric softeners on the important role of touch in every day situations. On their website they say that touch is important in creating and maintaining a strong, lasting bond between people and that by incorporating touch into your life it will make every day moments with loved ones more special. I do see where they are coming from as I find a hug at the end of a hard day from my husband always works wonders.
They also say that their new touch effects technology is a benefit for when say you heading out to a social event after work and you want to remain smelling fresh and clean. These new fabric softeners will help you with that.
Also, according to their website, 91% of us would like to spend more time with family and friends and that a hug for loved ones will leave both parties feeling uplifted and more comfortable. If we can do that and having a uplifiting aroma come out of out clothes then more the better.
The new Lenor Touch Effects come in three new fragrances, Breathe of Fresh Air which comes in a blue bottle, Barefoot in the Grass which comes in a green bottle and Touch of Sunshine which comes in a yellowy/orange bottle. It is the Touch of Sunshine that I am going to look at as this is the one I am using at the moment.
Like I said the bottle is an orangey colour and has Lenor written on the front along with a picture of some flowers on it. The liquid is in concentrate form and it says that you can get 21 washes out of a 750ml bottle but I would definitely say that I get way more washes than this. The smell is quite strong so I only use a liitle bit of the liquid and it still works really well. According to their website you use 70% less packaging per wash than you would with regular Lenor. This is a definite selling factor for me as it is good for the environment and also good in these times of bi-weekly rubbish collection when you can't afford to fill your bin up with bulky plastic containers.
Touch of Sunshine has a lovely flowery smell to me that is not too overpowering even though it does last a long time. The smell is said to be a mixture of fresh jasmine and green leaves with a hint of cassis and will add a touch of sunshine to a winters day by revitalising your senses with a bright invigorating freshness. You can purchase a bottle for £1.94.
