Advantages: Lovely smell of warm biscuits, burns for a long time, look nice

Disadvantages: A little expensive for some people

This is such a lovely candle.
This is the first Lily Flame candle i have ever bought, but i was glad i bought it. I got it from John Lewis for £7.95 (i think they are lower now with the VAT reduction) and free delivery. It arrived about 2 days later.

The candle is in a metal tin with a lid. On the back of the tin it tells you where the candle is made. These candles are made in Somerset in England. How long it will burn for and to follow the instructions printed on the inside of the lid.
The instructions just tell you to put the candle on a heat resistant base and to keep the wick trimmed to about 5mm (i have never had to cut it at all), and some other simple information.

When you first get the candle, on the top of the way are 4 little sweets looking things. I'm not really sure what these are but they just add to the look of the candle and they burn fine.

On the instructions it says the candle burns for about 35 hours, now of course they don't expect you to burn it all in one go so it means spread out over several uses. I have lit it many times since i got it and its still got about half the wax left. I must have been burning it for about 15 hours or so.

The smell from this candle is just lovely. It said on the product web page that it smells of buttery biscuits and gingerbread, and this is most certainly true. The smell is just lovely, it smells like traditional home baking when your mum or granny makes some lovely soft crumbly biscuits and they have just come out of the oven. When you light the candle, within a few minutes the whole room is filled with this lovely smell. Even when the candle is not lit you can still smell it if the candle is nearby.

To some people these candles are quite expensive, but you get a lot of use out of them and the smell is just lovely. Like i said, this is the first Lily Flame candle i have ever bought so i don't know what the other candles smell like, but if you visit their own site www.lily-flame.co.uk or visit www.johnlewis.com and type in Lily Flame you will get a huge selection with a whole range of smells including many christmas scents. If you don't mind paying that bit extra, give one a try. Please don't blame me if you get a smell you don't like though, i have only tried this one candle, but i know i will be buying a new different scented candle soon.

Summary: A great candle with a lovely smell.

I've got one of these in a different fragrance and hope it's as nice as your one was!
