Advantages: Cleans and Disinfects

Disadvantages: May damage clothing, leaves crystals on work tops

I have recently ruined 2 shirts and one pair of shorts, I should have known (after ruining the first shirt)to be careful but........

I'd had a bottle of 'Milton Sterilising liquid' sat in the cupboard for ages after buying it to clean my baby's toys. So I thought I'd give it a go on the work surfaces (oops!).

Not thinking anything of it, I leant against the work tops whilst still slightly wet.

Don't do it! It seems obvious thinking about it now, but because you use the fluid on things that you eat from, you don't tend to think of it as a kind of bleach.

You will find that you get yellow/green stains on your clothes and that is it, ruined.

I'd make sure you wash the surfaces down with warm water after using it, as it tends to leave a layer of crystals which feel quite gritty.

That sounds like chlorine bleach. Careful baby.

He he, everytime I take the kids to my mums, she ends up with bleached clothes, I always change the steriliser in my dressing gown 1st thing to avoid the problem! But when I dilute it I don't seem to have a problem, Bleach does seem to be attracted to my mother though, no matter how careful she is she always does it.
