Advantages: grease removal, clean smell, really works
Disadvantages: none so far
It is Saturday morning and the whole family is home for breakfast. Usually during the week with work etc, we end up grabbing toast and a cup of tea before hurrying off to our respective duties. But Saturday?.this is a different matter entirely. Kiddies mercifully are happy with soggy cereals or toast at a push? That leaves us hell bent on narrowing our arteries adults to choose what we would like for brekkies. Trevor has requested a full English fry up breakfast. I sigh resignedly and trundle off to empty the fridge. Here we are talking about a mega platter full of all the goodies. Bacon : Grill. Sausages: Grill Eggs: Frying pan. Onions: Frying pan. Black pudding: Frying pan. Beans: saucepan. I could continue, but I gather that you have grasped the implications of the list above. (if you haven?t you are a man of course) Once I have finished creating this lethal concoction of a breakfast, added toast and handed it over to Trevor, I return to the kitchen and the sight that meets my eyes is sad, very sad indeed. I am going to need HELP. Crumbs, eggshells, can lids and tea stains on one counter top. To the other side we have greasy, sticky meat wrappers and sploshes of fat from the spatula when trying to disengage the eggs from the pan and onto the plate in one piece. Bacon rind litters the immediate area close to the cooker, the grill is swimming in melted fat and grease, and the beans have bubbled so much in the frantic coordinated rush that they have managed to get spatters up the side of the tiles. Now at this stage I am usually sorely tempted to close the door and pretend that all is well, and leave it to some other poor unsuspecting sucker to go in and be faced with the drop out effects. But I have a faithful remedy tucked away under the sink? Mr Muscle Kitchen. Size: 500ml. Price approx: £1.30 It is presented i
n a white bottle, with orange trimmings. It has finger shaped gripping area to enable squeezing of the trigger without slipping. The labels are a shade of green with all its promises emblazoned boldly on the front. On the back we have the usual advice and instructions of use. Mr Muscle Kitchen is made by Johnson wax. (really?) You can also buy refills for Mr Muscle Kitchen. The motto on the bottle is: Loves The Jobs You Hate. This won me over immediately?I hate getting rid of grease and muck in the kitchen after some serious frying, or even after spilling Bolognese sauce. *Specifically formulated to tackle tough kitchen grease and grime, fast and effectively. *Kills germs (big plus) *Anti-bacterial action. *Leaves kitchen surfaces sparkling clean. Directions: *Turn nozzle to the ON position (you don?t say!) *Spray directly onto surface with full trigger strokes. (no frantic pumping) *Wipe away with a damp cloth. *Turn nozzle to OFF position and store bottle upright. *On stubborn stains, leave for 30 seconds before wiping away. *Avoid prolonged contact with wood, enamel, aluminium and painted, lacquered or soft porous surfaces. *Do not use on gold plated fittings. For use on: *Cooker tops. *Sink & tiles. *Work surfaces. Well, these are pretty straightforward instructions for use, but I have my own particular methods? Before starting the clearing and the washing up, I liberally spray the offending areas and let it get on with its wonderwork. As I have now established that it doesn?t corrode any of the surfaces in the kitchen I safely turn my back on it and get on with the job at hand. Once finished I add to the instructions and suggest that if it is badly grease smothered, use a cloth dampened in warm/hot water. It works as well but the cloth isn?t logged with grotty grease afterwards. A
nother handy tip to know is that if you have also got most of your breakfast down your clean clothes?ketchup, egg yolk etc? Try spraying some Mr Muscle Kitchen on it before washing, it really works and doesn?t damage the materials. *Caution: *Keep out of reach of children. *In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately (feel free to scream, ?cos it bloody hurts) with plenty of water and seek medical advice. *Do not breathe spray. (obvious) *Handcare: As with any household cleaner, avoid prolonged skin contact with this product. *Wash and dry hands after use. *Ingredients: Mr Muscle Kitchen contains amongst other ingredients: *Less than 5% Non-Ionic surfactants, EDTA (??) *Disinfectants. *Homecare line for questions or advice: 0800353 353 Mon ? Fri 8am to 6 pm. *Ireland: 1800 409 176 Or: Johnson Wax ltd, Frimley green, Camberly, Surrey GU16 5AJ. UK
