Advantages: Does the job well.

Disadvantages: Stinky and messy.

I've always used Mr Muscle,
simply because cleaning an oven and grill is such a big job and I know this cleaner really works so I have'nt bothered to try any other.

The last time I used it I had'nt cleaned my oven for about 6 months except for the usual wipe down,
So when I did get round to it the oven floor had built up a layer of grease and food scraps , yuck!

Before you get started its advised you wear rubber gloves as this product can irritate the skin and can be really messy, Do not breath in spray. it stinks too so leave a window open!

I also slip some newspaper around and underneath the cooker to catch any of the dirty grease that drops off when wiping down.
With can in hand give it a good shake and then hold about 12 inches away from the oven walls.

As you spray the product turns to foam, keep spraying until you have covered the inside of the oven with the foam, the same can be done for the grill.
On the can it says leave for between 30 mins and 2 hours, I think it depends on how dirty the oven is.

I leave it on for the full 2 hours just to make sure the job has been done properly.
When the time is up, you can now start to wipe down the oven,
for this I use a sponge as I find it easier than a cloth.

I also have a basin of water nearby to rinse the sponge as I wipe,
With the sponge, wipe the oven walls from top to bottom,
as you wipe, all the dirt, grease and baked on stuff all comes away easily.

Once you have done this wipe over with a clean damp cloth to remove any residue.
I then leave the oven door open for a bit, just to let the air circulate, but thats what I do It does'nt say on the can to do so.
I think this is one of the most hated cleaning jobs in the kitchen
but for such a big and messy job Mr Muscle really does work and makes it easy too.

The product comes in a tall green and orange aerosol can with spray action and cost me £1.50 at the market.

The instructions on the can are.
For best results use on a cold oven~
Apply and leave for 30 mins to 2 hours~
Do not leave on overnight~
Wipe thoroughly.
Do not breath in.

Summary: Makes the job a lot easier.
