I find this an effective way to clean my oven. I usually wait until it really really needs cleaned, as it is a boring job.
This product comes in a spray can and usually costs about £1.80, but sometimes it can be on offer in Asda for £1 and I normally stock in a few tins, after all it all helps to get save a bit money. This can normally lasts at least 4 times. This has a tough orange plastic child proof lid on it, that you have to squeeze the sides together to get the lid off.
YOu spray this onto a cold oven and you leave it for a minimum of 30 minutes up to a maximum of 2 hours. I normally try to leave for the 2 hours if I can, as I said my oven is usually in a right state when I do this. When you spray this it comes out in quite a fine white foam mist, which settles to a thicker foam. I cover my mouth when I spray this, as the fumes off this seem quite toxic and I end up coughing and choking when I breathe this in.
When you go back to the oven after the time most of the white foam has changed to a mucky brown colour and all I do to get this off is to fill a bowl with warm water, wet a cloth and start from the back of the oven and sweep the cloth towards the front and then wet the cloth and start again. This removes stubborn baked on stains with ease and makes the oven glass nice and sparkly as well.
It takes the hard work out of cleaning and works effectively for me
