I decided this week that I really needed to clean my oven. I had no excuse it was pouring with rain, and I had bought the cleaner the previous week in a pack of two 300ml cans from costCo for £5.23

The first thing to say is that I found it very hard to get the lid off. It is achild proof lid and you need to squeeze both sides really hard to get it off. If you have any weakness in you hands it will be difficult.

Secondly, please make sure that you have plenty of ventilation when using this product, I don't have breathing problems but when I was using it I really felt it grab the back of my throat - if that makes sense.

Thirdly, make sure you wear gloves - the product is corrosive - and you will get filthy - that's why the oven needs cleaning!!!!

Right thats the bad points out the way now on to the good. This product is very simple to use - you give the can a good shake and holding it upright squirt it on to the oven. Most of my oven is self cleaning apart from the base so I only used it od the base and the oven door. It is really easy to see which bits you have done because it comes up in a foam.

I also used it on my shelves which I put in the sink and then squirted the cleaner over it.

I left the product for about 1 hour - the can says no more than 30 mins but the packaging it came bound together with stated- min 30 mins and a max 2 hours. After about an hour the foam has pretty much gone and all that is left is a greasy bubbles. This is really easy to wipe off - make sure you use an old cloth and you dont need to rub at the majority of the dirt. there awere only a few little bits - where some jam had burnt that I had to really rub at.

The shelves were also returned back to their shiny new selves with minimal effort though on the shelves I used one of those non scratch brillo pads.

This made light work of a really grubbly job and there is still plently left in the can.

Summary: An effective cleaner but make sure place is well ventilated
