After recently moving into my new house I was taking on the task of cleaning the bathrooms, please don't get me started on the state that the previous owner had left them in but it was fair to say that they were not the cleanest of people! In the bathroom was a glass shower screen which was so dirty that I could not even see the shower through it! After giving it a good clean and using lots of advice on the best ways from friends and family it actually came out looking really good. I did not want all of that hard work to go to waste so I decided that I would go and see what was available for keeping the shower screen clean (We had a shower curtain in my old house so I have never needed a product before)


On the shelves I found my hero... Mr Muscle! What a fantastic find. There I was in my local Wilkinson's store as in my opinion this is where I tend to find cleaning products at their cheapest! I spotted the Mr Muscle Shower shine. There were 2 bottles available; the 500ml bottle was priced at £1.35 whilst the 1 litre bottle was priced at £2.43. I decided to go with the smaller bottle as I was unsure on ho good the bottle was going to be so did not want to waste my money on something that might not come up with the goods!


Happy with my purchase I took it home and popped it in the bathroom, ready to use after my next shower. The bottle itself is an attractive design and I was drawn to it ion the shelves of the shop. The bottle can be recycled and is made from clear plastic. You can see the shower shine through the bottle; it does not look anything special, just like water really, no fancy chemical colours here! The bottle has a spray gun lid so dispensing the product is really easy. It has a lovely lilac handle and the front of the bottle just has the Mr Muscle logo and the name of the product as well as a small picture of a shower.


The back of the bottle has a list of instructions and guidelines for using the product as well as manufacturers information, this product is made by SC Johnson and it gives you details on how to contact them. So with all the information to hand I set about using the spray.


The first thing you do is have the shower (!) sounds simple but you are told to start with a clean shower and all you need to do is spray a light mist over the shower and screen. I noticed that as soon as I started spraying that a lovely fragrance was given off, it was light and refreshing and not at all what I was expecting! It almost reminded me of fresh flowers mixed with a hint of lavender so not a bad scent for a cleaning product.


After spraying my shower I wondered off into my bedroom and when I returned to my bathroom I was amazed to see the results. I had been left with a sparkling shower and the best part is that all you need to do is spray! You are reminded on the bottle that you do not need to scrub or wipe the product away which I did wonder about but if these are the results that you get for not spraying then I am very much impressed!

One thing to note about the product is that you are recommended to leave the room ventilated, we have an extractor fan and a window in our bathroom so I always crack it open and I have never noticed any after effects from the product.


I now use the shower shine every day after my showers and it normally lasts me just under 3 weeks, my partner also sprays the ensuite shower from time to time so I really think I am getting value for money with the product, even better is when you find the shower shine on a bargain offer of £1.00 in the shops... I will be stocking up!


In summary, I have no hesitation in recommending this product; it does exactly as it says on the bottle! It is easy to use and hassle free.
