Advantages: Helps get rid of stains, smells nice

Disadvantages: expensive, shouldnt be used as a substitute for leather cleaner

My other half has a lovely car, it really is his pride and joy, its beautiful, clean and leather seated. However we have a toddler and toddlers and clean rarely go hand in hand. My partner cleans the car religiously once a week and uses a very expensive cleaner for the seats.

However a couple of weeks ago we went on holiday 'down south' and did not have enough room in the car for all the cleaning stuff (he has a lot) so I picked up a packet of leather wipes £3 for 24, a bit expensive but Mr sheen is a reputable company and I do tend to pay for 'quality'.

The wipes come in a very handy pack and are easily stored in the dash. The wipes themselves have a fairly thick density, (about twice the thickness of baby wipes) and are fairly moist. They have the fresh origional mr sheen smell which I love!

Using the wipes is fairly easy, you just give your chair sofa etc a gentle wipe over and hey presto. because the wipes are fairly tough, they can get rid of stains easily with a little elbow grease and wont fall apart.

Many people i know tend to use baby wipes to wipe over thier leathers, this is highly unrecommended by the people in the leather industry as it can cause more harm than good to your leather. Baby wipes can have a 'dry out' effect which causes the leather to loose its shine. Controversially, some 'experts' dont reccomend these types of wipes either. I however have to agree with the experts, although the wipes are handy to keep in the car, for those inevitable accidental spills on the motorway, or out and about etc or in the house next to your sofa incase of the accidental spill. However we found (though not as bad) they had a similar efffect to using baby wipes.

All in all a good product to keep to hand incase of the accidental spill on your leather, but I would strongly reccomend a good clean with a a manufacturers reccommended as leather does need to be conditioned and cleaned to help restore its transparent protective layer (I think thats what the shine is...well thats what i have been told by him in doors!).

The other down side to this product is the price, I have now found some supermarket own brand products at half the cost and even though they are not as effective and dont have the 'Mr Sheen' smell which i love are almost as good as the Mr Sheen ones for those inbetween wash days!!

Summary: Expensive, works but there are cheaper alternatives!
