Advantages: smells nice, lasts

Disadvantages: looks terrible

I'm a sucker for fancy air fresheners, I've probably tried all of them - glade wisp (the proof is in the puff), 3volution, Mobil'Air, but my latest find is neutrodol quickspray. I was looking for an air freshener for my bathroom, and Poundland normally sell Crystal Air and Touch and Fresh, but last time I went in they didn't have any left. I don't usually like the aerosol sprays as they never usually work, but Neutrodol QuickSpray was about the only other option, so that's what I went for.

~About Neutrodol~

Neutrodol are a swiss company, and their products contain over 50 ingredients which supposedly attack bad odours, leaving you with fresh, clean air. They make QuickSpray in five different fragrances - Original, Super Fresh, Bathroom, Kitchen and Deofab. I went for the Super Fresh as they only had that or original, otherwise I would have chosen Bathroom.

~Putting it together~

The QuickSpray comes in a box which contains a 50ml aerosol, and two, white plastic semi-circular halves which fit together to become a 'decorative dispenser.'
It's fairly easy to assemble, you simply slot the two halves together, remove the cap from the aerosol and push it into the unit through the hole in the bottom of the dispenser. There are instructions and a clear diagram on the back of the box.

~Appearance~

In all honesty I don't think anyone could admit to finding this thing attractive. The dispenser unit is about 4 inches (10cm) in diamater, which makes it look very big and bulky. If, like me you have a small bathroom and are struggling for space as it is, you may find that it's size is a bit of a problem. The white plastic design looks cheap and unimaginative, and is actually quite an ugly thing to look at, especially when you compare it to other air fresheners such as Crystal Air, or Glass Scents, which are effective and pretty at the same time, but hey looks aren't everything….

~Using it~

The unit has two finger shaped dimples at the top of it, which you simply press down for a second or two to spray the aerosol. I find it's fairly easy to press down on without using too much pressure.
You can smell the product immediately, it has a rather strong, floral, yet sharp odour, however it is not unpleasant. What I like about this, is that I can spray only a minimal amount in my bathroom, yet the fragrance is so strong it can be detected in the hallway and bedroom which are adjacent to the bathroom. The fragrance lasts for quite some time too - I would say it is noticeable for up to around an hour and a half after it has been sprayed, and another plus point is that it actually deodorises, not just covers up smells.

~Price and Availability~

I bought this from Poundland, and surprisingly it cost me £1. I haven't seen this sold anywhere else.

~My Verdict~

I do like this air freshener, it was fairly cheap, and seems to last a long time. I've had mine about a month and despite spraying at least twice a day, there's still some left. The only down side is the ugly white plastic unit, it's too bulky to be practical and looks cheap and nasty. Like they say though, it's what's inside that counts, and I have to say I'm really impressed with the actual spray- it's fantastic!

Summary: air fresher spray unit

Amazed that this was a £1 in Poundland, actually in Northampton we have a 99p shop as it pays to undercut the competition

Whilst some of the manufacturers do seem to have got carried away with the 'airfreshener as work of art' idea, I'd agree that this one is really ugly. I'll stick to opening the window
