Advantages: No potentially harmful chemicals used. Great at cleaning.

Disadvantages: Fragrance free; but no lather if you like bubbles

I had never heard of Neways before 2008. Its not a brand that is for sale in your local High Street, but is available through a worldwide network of distributors, either face to face sales or via the internet (directly via www.neways.com) or via distributors who have set up their own stores.

If you go via Neways.com, you need to join the site and you are provided with membership and log-in details, otherwise you can buy as and when required from other distributors.

The items all come from HQ based in the Netherlands if you buy direct, or locally via a distributor.

Neways started over 20 years ago.

Its whole raison d'etre is to offer consumers an alternative range of health, beauty, household cleaning and nutritional products which do not include any potentially harmful chemicals or ingredients.

Neways has identified a wide range of ingredients that are used in most commercial products of this type which it believes may cause harm to our health.

These are ingredients which have traditionally been used in manufacturing and industry which have found their way into hair, beauty and health items and household washing products.

It believes, and is backed by various scientific research boards that many of these chemicals could potentially be absorbed into our skin, our bloodstream and cause or exacerbate poor health and disease.

Neways do not include any of the following ingredients into its products:

Tallow
Aluminium
Mineral Oil
Talc
Lanolin
Fluoride
Diethanolamine (DEA)
Triethanolamine (TEA )

Its products also do not contain any genetically modified ingredients and any raw materials which are used are stringently tested to ensure contaminants are not present.

There is a wealth of information about the Neways company on its website. There are thousand of articles also on-line about the positive effects of moving to a Neways lifestyle - ie. switching all your regular products to Neways products - these include stories where people have seem dramatic improvements to their health in conditions such as acne; eczema, back pain and more, but this isn't the forum to go into all of this.

For the purposes of this review I have tried to give an outline of the company, now I'll give you some information about Neways NewBrite Hand & Dish Soap.

I use this in place of the leading brand soaps for doing dishes. As you would expect, it has no harmful ingredients so you do not have to worry about adding unecessary chemicals into your foodchain or onto your skin.

All Neways products are free from fragrance.

This product is available in 500ml or 1000ml so it lasts for ages as you only need to use a small amount.

Prices range depending on where you buy it (distributors have freedom to set their own prices) but is in the region of £4.50 for 500ml and £6.50 for 1000ml.

The detergent is a thick, pearlised white colour. Strangely, it does not produce a foaming lather, but is effective in cutting through grease to leave your dishes and glassware sparking.

It has a flip lid and can be used with a pump dispenser if required.

It rinses away easily as there is no foam and is a very effective and safe product. I highly recommend this product. I do use several Neways products, though I have not switched everything, I also use a range of what they would describe as products with potentially harmful ingredients.

Overall, highly recommeded if you are concerned about health and adding unecessary ingredients into your products.
