Advantages: Smells great, is easy to use and very economical indeed!
Disadvantages: Limited fragrance wise, silly flip top lid and rather cheap packaging all in all
I do love cleaning! No I seriously do I'm not messing lol. There is nothing I like more than getting down dirty and making things glisten and sparkle and of course having clean carpets and a room that smells as fresh as it feels is just as important to me!
In my house I only have one room really to take care of. Living back with my folks, the only place I'm totally responsible for is my bedroom and I love once a week to buy myself a load of spanking new cleaning products. Usually I would get some shake and vac from Tesco or Sainsburys during my once a week stock up but I forgot it and only remembered it when I was in my local Nisa store. Sadly (at the time) they didn't have any shake and vac and this was all they had and at 69p for a plastic bottle full I was worried as to whether to try it or not.
Not just cos I thought it would be cheap and nasty stuff but I have a beige carpet and the last thing I need is some cheap crappy powder clogging in it and my Mum going ballistic (she treated me to the carpet after-all lol!
Anyway after much deliberation and twoing and froing I did eventually get it and this was the only fragrance I'm aware it comes in (if not it's the only one stocked in my store).
The Packaging....
Long white cylinder white plastic container with a flip top lid concealing small, round holes. Around the 'body' of the container there is a light and dark peach label on there with a picture of two peaches on it and in white writing I'm told it is Nisa Todays 'Heritage' Carpet Freshener. On the back of the container (all in black writing) I'm told how to use it and warned about allergic reactions to it, the size is stated (350g), contact details for Nisa are given and finally there is a bar-code on there. The container (bottle or anything else you want to call it) is quite big but because it's cylinder shaped it's easy to handle and to shake though I don't really like the flimsy flip top lid it possesses as it looks like it may snap off with ease so I have to remember when using it to be light handed!
How To Use It....
Sprinkle carpet freshener from side to side over the carpeted area. Leave for a few minutes and then vacuum as usual.
My Experience With The Product....
Well as I mentioned earlier I was a bit worried about the quality of this product because of the cost however I did console myself that in my house we have a brand new Dyson that won't tolerate bad behaviour even from powder! I was right not to worry lol.
So I cleared my bedroom floor (which is when I hang things up lol) and I gently pulled back the flip top lid, held the container at a slight angle and gently shook it from a great height (side to side as directed) and the white/greyish powder rustled out as fine powder smelling heavily of really nice natural peaches with a lovely hint of sweetness to it. Already my room smelt fresh.
Now because this isn't a really fine powder (like talc) it came up after a few minutes of leaving it in my carpet first ever so easily indeed. I feel that even with other makes of vacuum cleaners this would be fine to use. I really had no problems and my room not only looked vacuumed and clean my room smelt wonderful for a good 3 hours or so later as well.
Verdict....
Easy to use...this is. It smells great and is good quality I simply have no criticisms of it. As with all powders of this type however it does need to be used on completely dry carpets and I'm sure it wouldn't be suitable for tiles or carpet tiles or anything and that this really is for carpets and rugs and the thicker the better (again like with powder product). It's a nice cheap buy, lasts ages and I really am impressed with this value for money product!
Exclusive to Nisa stores priced 69p!
Summary: A really great buy for the price!
