Finding a carpet cleaner that really does the business is the holy grail of household management. I remember when I was a lot younger, so about forty years ago, that a CERTAIN MANUFACTURER had a catchy song about cleaning a palace in one for less than half a crown. Well, this isn't 1001, and it costs about three quid. It's CARPET POWER and it comes from a firm called OZKLEEN so no prizes for working out its origin. We have cats, all three of whom are lovely but who occasionally poo in the wrong place. I have three small children and a cream carpet. You might think this is daft but I also have Ozkleen Carpet Power so I know I'm ok. Our worst carpet-accident so far was when I left my 5 month old lying naked on a nappy mat in the living room for about 5 minutes. When I came back, he had wriggled off the mat and done an absolute lake of poo. Skip the next bit if you're squeamish ... if you don't know what a small baby's poo looks like, think chicken korma sauce. A huge puddle on a cream carpet. So, got the baby cleaned up, mopped up the floor, got the ozkleen out. You spray it pretty liberally over the stain, work it in with a cloth, and leave it for ... Read the complete review

With hindsight, getting a brand new beige carpet in our lounge a couple of months before having our first baby wasn't the wisest of moves. Inevitably, within weeks of our new bundle of joy arriving, the carpet had been christened following a particularly notable projectile vomiting incident. Luckily, around the same time my husband had a recommendation from a work colleague to try a product from Ozkleen called Carpet Power and we'd bought some in readiness for just such an occasion.
