I wouldn't bother with Pan Aroma again!

~ Pan Aroma Apple Cinnamon Scented Candle ~

If I could sum up the review for these candles in one word it would be - USELESS. However my review needs to cover my reasoning for this so I shall go on.

Last Christmas my hubby decided he would buy me scented candles, I had a nice selection, included Yankee Candle and Jelly Belly and also these Pan Aroma candles, he had seen them in a local discount shop (a bit like randomly priced pound shop!) priced at 99p so he bought one in every scent they had, I remember there being Apple & Cinnamon, Cookies & Cream, Freesia & Jasmine, plus a few more. Some came in jars like the one in the picture above and others came in little jars, my Apple & Cinnamon one came in a jar. From the outside it could have passed for a Yankee Candle if you took no notice of the label but I obviously did!
Having been bought Yankee Candles, this was swiftly dumped in the bottom drawer in the kitchen as of course I favoured my Yankees! However my hubby kept asking if I liked the other scented candles so I brought this one out to try. I like apple scents, so I thought it sounded like a good one to try. I removed the glass lid and took a sniff before lighting it, it did have a subtle scent which I wasn't massively keen on but I lit it anyway. I sat it on my living room window and waited .... and waited .... and waited for a scent to become apparent. It never happened! The scent just didn't come, I walked over to the candle and still nothing, but then with my nose within burning distance of the candle I took a sniff and slightly detected a light waft of something, but even then I wouldn't say it was an appley nor cinnamon scent! It smelt more floral to me if I am honest and then it was was weak I had to have my nose pretty much in the jar to smell it!

Since then I haven't bothered getting these out for scenting reasons. I have used them in the bathroom when trying to have a nice relaxing candle lit bath .... Which lasts all of five minutes before a child bursts in to use the toilet! Nice!

For the low price my hubby paid they are great for a power cut but as for scenting the home, I wouldn't bother!

I have also seen them in Home Bargains priced at around £1.50 and checking Amazon I can see that this particular one will set you back £3.29! Honestly I would say not to bother!

The jar holds 90g of candle, and the candle feels a bit strange too, a very greasy soft wax!

Overall I would say not to bother with these candles, I have since burned the other scents and they have all fared the same. The Freesia & Jasmine one had the most notable scent coming from it, but that wasn't very pleasant!
Save your money for something better.

I feel I can only award one Dooyoo star for this candle. It is supposed to be a scented candle and on that basis it failed miserably!

      Thanks for reading :o) x
