Advantages: Bright and cheerful, good range of sizes

Disadvantages: Lids don't snap in place, got a bit warped in the dishwasher

I was given these snack boxes as a little extra on my birthday, as I like to bring little nibbles such as fruit or nuts and seeds to work. They are from Paperchase and are also listed on Amazon.co.uk, although are currently unavailable. As I didn't buy them, I can't be 100% sure, but Paperchase have another set of four snack boxes in a different design for £5 so I would imagine that would be what these cost.

The set is of four stackable plastic boxes with lids. As in the picture the smallest is orange, then green, light blue and red. They nest inside each other like Russian Dolls, and have colourful phrases written on the lids. I was a bit disappointed though to find that two say the same thing ("snacks" - the others say "my snack box" and "yum yum"), because there are only four so surely someone could come up with something else to put on!

The boxes are bright and cheery and I believe suitable for (fun) adults and kids alike - when my mum bought these a couple of the girls at work rushed to buy some too because they thought they were so cute!

The smallest box is really quite tiny and shallow, and I've only really used it for bringing Haribo as a little treat! The next two are big enough for a bit of fruit eg few grapes or cherries, and the biggest will hold plums, clementines, a couple of small apples, etc. I'm measuring these in fruit because that's what I've mostly put inside so it didn't get bruised in my bag. I also like to make jellies in the boxes to bring to work.

As I use the boxes most days, I was pleased to see that they are dishwasher safe. They don't say anything about microwave, although I'm not sure what would be small enough to fit inside that you would want to heat up, baked beans maybe? Anyway, I wouldn't risk it. I do put them in the dishwasher, although I found it altered their shape a tiny bit which I only noticed when the lids were a bit harder to put on and they didn't stack so neatly, tending to get stuck. Now I stack them in two piles eg biggest with second smallest, second biggest with smallest.

The boxes look smart despite having been put in the dishwasher a lot of times, and even though they don't stack as well as they once did, it was always a tight squeeze and the two smallest were a bit tricky to prise apart. The lids stay put once you ensure they are fully in place, but they don't snap shut as such.

I have found them very useful and mean I don't waste sandwich bags bringing small goodies to work. They certainly brighten up my desk anyway and several people have asked where I got them. I would imagine they'd be good for people with kids to carry around little snacks for them when out and about.
