There is bleach and there is bleach, I am sure that you all know what I mean! Some of the thin watery bleaches that you can buy for as little as 25p a bottle are almost powerless! I prefer a bleach with a bit of Ooomph, one that is going to be effective and stop those unwanted germs in their tracks. Well I was impressed the other day, I waltzed into Lidl`s and they had Parazone on offer, two bottles for £1. I have noticed that Lidl`s have started stocking more of the well known brands lately, on the other-hand I have noticed that you have to keep a weather eye on their prices as some items seem to be gaining ten pence here and there. I am a two ... Read the complete review

For a long time I avoided using bleach as part of my cleaning regime, believing it to be the root of all evil. I don't know why, but I think perhaps it came from my childhood. I only ever saw my mother use it occasionally (but thinking about it that could because she used to do the cleaning while we were at school), but when she did use it, she would tell us to keep well away - I can still hear the cries of 'don't use the downstairs toilet, there's bleach in it!' Maybe she had little faith in our ability not to lick the toilet bowl... So, as I said, I managed without bleach for several years. Many household cleaning products are anti-bacterial and I found ... Since I have had a house I have always bought Parozone bleach. Its a thick bleach (Which my mum hates) but it doesn't smell really like a bleach. There are several different flavours from : Original, Alpine zone and lemon zone. As well as killing germs, salmonella, listeria and E.coli it also prevents limescale, and as I live in a very hard water area, this is a major problem. It can be used for sinks, loos and down the drain but also diluted for work surfaces, chopping boards, floors and in the bathroom. I have tried Tesco thick bleach, but the smell is awful and it really does linger up your nose !!!! and I have also tried the conventional bleach but ... Read the complete review

New Parozone no spill bleach I got a little over excited when I saw this product in Tesco. The bottle was shaped like a normal bottle of bleach with the bendy bit at the top to go up and under the toilet rim but what really got me was the large silver lock shown on the packaging with big letters declaring its spill lock safety valve and its name had been changed from parozone to no spill parozone. I'm sure I've mentioned before that I'm a bit accident prone I constantly drip pepper sauce everywhere, spill cups of tea and generally mess up big time. Before I got a steam sterilizer I ruined just about every piece of clothing I owned trying to ... Read the complete review

While doing my weekly shop in tesco my usual brand of bleach was out of stock. I noticed that parazone bleach was on a buy one get one free offer which meant two 750ml bottles cost 89p. I bought some to try it out. It is manufactured by Jeyes Limited in Norfolk and comes in a distinctive yellow bottle with a red cap. On the front of the bottle it tells you it is 'no spill' and has a picture of a grey padlock with the words 'spill-lock 'and 'safety valve' written on it. It also has the words 'kiils all germs' written in white on a red background and 'prevents limscale' written in white on a green background. On the bottle label at the back it ...
