When it comes to house work, I am lazy, particularly when it comes to washing clothes. When I first moved into my own house, I just opted for the good old washing powder that my mum uses, as I suppose most people do. After a while, I got fed up with cleaning out the little drawer in the washing machine which was usually full of congealed washing powder. The other problem that I have is that I am a nurse, who has a royal blue uniform with navy trousers, which HAS to be washed every day after work - so you can imagine the wear and tear that was had on it. One day I was in Safeways and saw Persil Liquid Capsules. You just pop them into the washing machine on ... Read the complete review

** What Are They? Persil capsules are flying saucer shaped blobs of liqui-gel detergent covered in a dissolvable PVA film. The ingredients are similar to those used in other cleaning products, and the capsules have been tested thoroughly to ensure they don’t mess up colours, ruin clothes or generally reek havoc when you use them. ** Why Use Them Because you’re lazy? I know I am. Because you have a money off voucher? Yep, had one of those. Because this op is so fantastic you won’t have any choice but to? Erm, maybe not. Seriously, they are easy to use, and much more convenient than powders – miss judge the ... Read the complete review

Now the warm weather is upon us I thought that I would give my house a really good clean, I always seem to turn into housewife of the year when the sun starts to shine. Curtains and bedding get washed and the whole house looks sparkling, but something has gone drastically wrong this year. Read on! I thought I would try a different soap powder, I must admit I did have ‘Dooyoo’ in mind at the time, so I purchased ‘New Persil Biological Capsules.’ They cost me £1.99 for a box of twenty capsules, with two capsules per wash that is quite good value for ten full washes. The capsules are circular with blue liquid and you ... Read the complete review

I was very keen to try out the new Persil Capsules. How lazy we have become, the chore of using big box powder, the chore of filling up cups with liquid washing powder, the chore of putting tablets into a bag! Wow, just to throw the capsule into the washing machine - what a treat. And certainly, the capsules were very convenient - just throw in. However, intermittently my washing was, well, 'smelly'. I thought maybe it had not dried throughly - it was that kind of smell. At that time I was using all manner of washing, i.e. tablets etc so I did not immediately pin the problem down - I just rewashed. In particular, towels smelt. ... Read the complete review

I have always been a huge fan of Persil and these new capsules are certainly no exception. For a long time now, I have been using their tablets with great success - they have always cleaned very effectively and of course are very easy to use. Recently however, I changed to a new all singing, all dancing washing machine. It does, however, have a water saving feature which means it only ever takes in exactly the amount of water that it needs. I started to find that the tablets were just not dissolving properly and therefore leaving remnants in the net bag. This is turn affected their cleaning power. I decided to try the capsules and was ... Read the complete review
