OK - but nothing special (Persil Colour Tablets)

I had been using the persil powder for quite a while but saw these on special offer (less than £5 for 24 washes) and thought I would give them a go.

I was quite surprised when I opened the packet as they had this funny gel layer on the top. Which was a little bit sticky. When I had perviously used these products I had simply put them in the draw as I did with powder - now it recommended putting them in the mesh bag provided and placing it on top of the washing.

I washed as normal at 40 degrees - I know its bad for the environment but so is having to wash PE kits twice!!! I'm not convinced by the 30 degree claim that it is as good as 40 degrees - anyway I'm getting side tracked.

The clothes came out as well as they had with my normal persil wash - I was lucky and didn't have the same issues as the previous reviewer.

I tend to stick to the colour versions of washing powder as I was finding that my coloured clothes (especially the black ones) were fading a bit too quick and with these products which are designed to contain less bleaching products they do seem to stay truer to their original colours.

I don't think I would buy this product unless it was on special offer - the box was only good for 24 washes and if I go to CostCo I can get a big 90 wash box for £12 (when they run their special offers)

Summary: Paying for the convenience - no better than powder
