Advantages: non-bio is good for you

Disadvantages: hardly any smell to laundry and just doesn't work

I bought some of these when they were on offer and they were utterly useless. We had recently bought a new big posh Bosch washing machine, so the slating I am about to give this product definitely was not the fault of the machine. Other powders, tablets and capsules all worked fine. These did not.

I noticed after the first use that the clothes were not cleaned at all well. Generally they smelt clean and freshly washed but any stains had not come out. I continued to use the persil tablets though because I thought perhaps the stains were more ingrained than I had realised and maybe I should have tried some direct stain treatment prior to washing them (however, I never usually bother and stains always come out with other products).

The next time I used the persil tablets, I noticed that the clothes did not even smell clean, immediately after washing, I looked in the drawer and the tablets had dissolved into powder but has congealed as a mush in the drawer. I cleaned the drawer out, rinsed the washing machine at a high temperature and tried again. The same thing happened.

The only way I could use these was to dissolve them in a bowl of boiling water and then tip the water into the washing machine drawer!

AVOID!

Summary: Awful product

You are supposed to put the tablets in the small drawstring net bag supplied and then directly into the drum, not the drawer.

This ensures that the soap dissolves properly etc, and would explain why your clothes weren't clean as there was not enough soap getting to them.

You should have read the instructions before using them and posting this unfair and inaccurate review.
