With some of my birthday money I brought 2 wicked wool jumpers from the sale in Next but I could tell straight away that I would have to be careful how I washed them or they would pull out of shape easy. My mum recommended Persil Silk & Wool because she's used it in the past for handwashing her best jumpers and you can use it in the washing machine as well.

I got a bottle and thought it was proper expensive because it's over £3.00 for the same size bottle as the Small And Mighty washing liquids but I got it anyway because I wanted to make sure my jumpers stayed in good condition for as long as possible.

It's got quite a strong smell and you don't need to use a lot in a bowl of water so i reckon this bottle will last me for ages.

One of my jumpers is cream and the other one is pink so they both show up any stains or marks. The first time I wore the cream one it was on my birthday and we went for a Chinese and I spilled some of the chow mein sauce down me. I panicked because it was such a greasy stain that I didn't think anything would get it out but soaking the jumper in this for a bit and then rubbing the mark got it straight out and it looks as good as new now.

I've washed both of the jumpers 3 times now and Silk & Wool has got them dead clean all the times. I used it in the washing machine on a cool wash when I was washing my little sisters wool blankets and they came out proper soft and dead clean even though she's got a habit of tipping her milk out onto them.

Everything I've washed in it has come out soft and it hasn't damaged the feel or look of the stuff at all. The smell stays on the clothes for ages and even when I dried it over the radiator the smell was still there after and that's surprising because usually the heat off the radiator gets rid of all the smell off the washing powder.

Every bottle does between 20 and 25 washes so that's good value even though its so expensive to buy.
