Advantages: Smells lovely, cheaper than other major brand alternatives

Disadvantages: None

I have been a user of bold liquitabs for a long time, but having moved and with no outside drying space, I was becoming disappointed with the bold, as my washing was clean but not smelling very fresh at all.

I found persil small and mighty on offer in sainsburys a couple of months back, and thought I'd give it a try. I prefer liquid and liquitab type detergents to powder, as sometimes powder doesn't disperse properly. (I use persil non bio tabs for my son's washing though which I find very good.)

First I tried the naturals aloe vera small and mighty, it smells gorgeous but I didn't realise it was non bio. It cleans efficiently, but I feel for things such as bedding and towels a hot wash with a biological detergent gives the best clean. I then went back and bought a bottle of the small and mighty colour, which is the bio version for coloured clothes.

Both versions are lovely, I think I prefer the smell of the aloe vera one as it's very refreshing, and I might use this one for my son's things when I've run out of my persil non-bio tablets. I've been using the colour bio version on mine and partners things and it washes great and smells lovely. Especially when things have been through the tumble dryer.

These come in two sizes in each variety. The small bottle is 730ml (which is for 20 washes) and costs £3.89. The larger bottle 1.47L is for (42 washes) and costs £6.84.

This actually works out to be much cheaper than the bold liquitabs which I was using which were £6.69 for a 24 pack. I am pleased because I find the persil much better in terms of fragrance and washing results. I'll definitely be buying this product from now on and if it's on offer again I'll be stocking up! I might try the small and mighty non-bio which is the equivalent of the tablets next time, as I enjoy the smell of my sons clothes it's a real baby smell.

Summary: Cleans your clothes and leaves them smelling fresh
