Persil Small and Mighty
Advantages: Effective cleaning, plenty of choice, longlasting, economical, fresh etc...
Disadvantages: Can be expensive if buying full price
+++What is it?+++
A double concentrated liquid laundry detergent. It comes currently in the following options:
Persil with freshness of Comfort (like a 2-in-1)
Naturals Olive Blossom
Naturals Aloe Vera
The Naturals options are also non-bio and designed for those with sensitive skin.
+++What's so good about it?+++
Well, according to Persil Small & Mighty's website - being twice as concentrated basically means half as much waste and a lower carbon footprint (less lorries, packaging etc...). It also make things more convenient for the consumer at home, taking up less cupboard space and being easier to measure.
+++Is it any good?+++
I have always opted for Persil whenever I can afford it as they have always made effective non-bio options for me and my family as we all have sensitive skin alongside being almost OCD about our clothes being clean!
I tried the regular non-bio small and mighty a couple of months ago and have never looked back. It is a lot cheaper than the normal concentration powders and liquids they do and yes, takes up less cupboard space which comes at a premium in my household!
The clothes always come out immaculate, often surprising me at some of the stains it removes - I am using far less Napisan for soaking my son's soiled items. The whites glow brightly and everything is left with a fresh but not overpowering clean scent. Our skin does not feel particularly irritated by our clothes either.
+++But, is it good value?+++
Well, if you compare it to other premium brands out there, it is not the most expensive. On tesco.com, a small bottle 730ml will set you back £4.18 (£5.73 per litre) when not on offer, the larger 1470ml bottle will cost you £6.88 (£4.68 per litre). It was recently on offer for £2.00 each for the small bottles, this works out cheaper than some discount products, I would recommend stocking up on it when you get the opportunity!
Summary: Never looked back, powder's a thing of the past!
