Persil Small and Mighty
Advantages: good results
I always like to give laundry detergents a go and I usually change them every so often so I don't keep using the same one. I got this Persil Small and Mighty Non Bio on offer and decided to give it a try as I used to use Persil and it looked like an alright product. I think I have heard of it before and it comes in Bio, Non Bio or Colour but Non Bio is what I usually use which is why I picked this one up. Persil are a brand I tend to go on and off of usually as sometimes their products don't give the best results but this one looked like it was worth a try.
The packaging for the Non Bio version is blue and white and it is in a bottle that narrows at the top. It has the usual Persil logo on it as well as stating that it is 'Unbeatable even in 30 minutes' on the front in terms of cleaning. It is in a 630ml bottle which is meant to last 18 washes so it isn't bad value for money. The packaging is refreshing and stands out from the rest with its bold colour and simplicity. The lid is blue also and is deep so that liquid can be measured in it.
There are a few warnings before using this, such as always check the care label first and wash dark colours separately. Hands should be rinsed and dried after use and those with sensitive or damaged skin should avoid lengthy useage with this product. Keep away from eyes and if it gets into eyes then wash thoroughly. This should be kept out of reach of children.
SMALL & MIGHTY
This product has quite a few promises on the bottle, the detergent aims to be so good that it delivers unbeatable cleaning in under 30 minutes and is kind to sensitive skin. This detergent is dermatologically tested and is designed for all washing machine programmes to tackle the toughest stains. The product is very easy to use with clear instructions on the bottle and at first taking the blue lid off it has a nice smell not too strong but what I can only describe as very soapy.
The instructions say to pour one capful of the liquid into the washing machine which is what I do every time. Only put more in for bigger loads of washing. I use this on everything from whites to colours and darks and I noticed when the wash was over that the clothes had a nice clean, freshly washed smell which is always refreshing. It was time to tumble dry the rest of them and see if the results were any good. Once the clothes were out of the drier I noticed they still had their nice smell and looked nice and clean.
The whites were really white just as I'd hoped and the coloured items had a strong vibrance to them which is just what I want from a wash. Nothing came out damaged or faded and everything seemed soft and cleaner than before. I had nothing with really strong stains to put to the test but just a few light food stains and mud were on some items and these all came out and made the items look as good as new.
This Persil Small & Mighty is a product I would recommend I do think it is good value for money but as to whether it beats other brands I have used I can't say I'd 100% agree that it does. I think other detergents have better scents to them and also Persil are good but not as strong yet and have a bit to go just to justify my middle rating as to why I have not given them full marks.
This can be bought at all supermarkets, I got mine in Semi Chem which is Scotland's equivalent to Home Bargains for £1.99 for the 630ml bottle that does 18 washes. The stores are selling the same thing for £4.30 so if you can find it cheaper then you could get a HUGE saving as I don't know if it is quite worth the full RRP. There is also a 1890ml bottle which does 54 washes but is £10 and the medium sized bottle is £4.08 on offer at Tesco for 1 litre doing 28 washes and it normally costs £6.40 so it is currently cheaper to buy this middle size than the smaller and the offer ends July 12th so be quick.
