OK, so I'm turning into my mother. I'm about to sit here an extol the virtues of not Gap nor Versace but....... Citrus 'flavour' Persil Washing Up Liquid. Better get going then before the excitement causes me to have a heart attack! lol This is the first time I've ever used Persil (I'm usually a Fairy girl myself!) but I've got to say this is tops. :o) It comes in a striking looking chunky plastic bottle with a red flip top lid. The bottle is transparent so you can see a thick gloopy looking bright orange liquid. What's great about this bottle is there's a finger dent at the top of the bottle so when you're hands ... Those of you with children or those of you who were once children may remember the magic porridge pot. A little girl who was very hungry was given a magic porridge pot with which she could feed her family. However, when she began to make porridge the pot continued to make it and make it until the porridge was overflowing onto the floor, filling the house and spilling out of the front door until it flooded the whole village with porridge. Persil washing up liquid turned my washing bowl into a modern day equivalent of the magic porridge pot. I squeezed the magic green liquid into my bowl, poured the hot water on top of it and before I knew it the magic ... Read the complete review

I must be one of the saddest creatures on the planet. I have a confession to make and it is one that many people find rather strange indeed. I have a rather odd obsession with washing dishes. This is something that most people I have come across to date absolutely hate doing. Particularly when you have just prepared a huge Sunday roast for example and the mountain of dishes requiring cleaning is often too much to bear for many people. I on the other hand quite relish the prospect of doing these. I believe it all spans back to childhood when washing dishes was a sure way to clear my brothers and sisters from the vicinity rapid style. I used to actually use this relatively ... Finding a washing up liquid that can be gentle on the skin yet effective on the dishes is a bit of a task in itself. I probably make the problem worse because I just love using plenty of liquid. Recently I tried some of Lidl`s washing up liquid, it worked well, it had a decent smell but on my hands it acted like a paint stripper. Sure enough within a day my rings were off of my fingers until the sore skin had healed. Persil are known to produce mild products, so when I paid my weekly visit to Sainsbury I picked up a bottle of Persil Lemon Zest. Lemon liquid always seems fresh and pleasant to use. How the product is marketed is the key to its success ... Read the complete review

I first came across this product by accident. I have since as long as I can remember used the cheap Asda smart price washing up liquid as I just thought what's the difference as long as it cleans? One day I ran out and the local shop was closed so I asked a neighbour if I could borrow a bit, she handed me a bottle of Persil washing up liquid. I squirted it into the sink ready to begin washing up and was amazed to see the bubbles produced. I'm used to having to squirt a lot of liquid into the water to do the dishes and the same amount of this produced so many bubbles that I had to empty the sink and start again. Second time round I used just a tiny ... Read the complete review
