If you have wooden floors in your home, I would strongly recommend the Pledge Dust and Go System.
I've just brought one, and am really impressed with it. The first time you buy it you need to buy the complete system. This is a flat headed mop, and a pack of ten cloths. The cloths are then attached to the mop when you clean. Once you have finished, you throw the cloth away. The cloths really pick up dust, hair, (we have 3 cats), and small pieces of rubbish. I use it a lot in the room the computer is in, as that seems to attract a lot of dust and has a wooden floor.
The system is not cheap to buy, and you have to replace the cloths regularly, but I use them to dust all the surfaces before attaching them to do the floor, so it saves on another cleaner/polish. It also saves you time. Now instead of sweeping the floor, and then picking up the rubbish with a dustpan and brush or vacuum, I just wipe over the floor, and it's done. Brilliant!
