When that day of the week finally comes, and with a sigh you know that, yes, its cleaning time, anything that will make it easier is something I would definitely try. And of all the cleaning tasks that have to be done, dusting has to be one which would be practically impossible without some sort of liquid polish and Pledge is a brand that is probably the best known one available on the market.


I have tried other cheaper versions of furniture polish, including the incredibly cheap and cheerful Tesco Value furniture polish and I must confess, however much of a fan of the Tesco Value brand I am (which can be seen from my numerous reviews on Dooyoo), this one is not a shadow on Pledge, however cheap it may be.


The standard canister size is 250ml and comes in a number of varieties, which are Pledge Classic furniture polish, springtime polish, multi-surface polish, Lavender furniture polish and Furniture polish with Beeswax. The price seems to be pretty constant costing the same price of around about £1.00 for any of these varieties.


In comparison to other brands of furniture polish including the Tesco value brand, it gives a much deeper clean on a wooden surface, restoring it to its former glory. As well as this, the scent seems to last much longer providing your home with the 'just cleaned' fragrance for far longer. I am especially a fan of the Springtime polish which polishes all your surfaces well and leaves them smelling great.


Overall, Pledge has a tried and trusted formula with its furniture polish and it is very hard to find a worthy competitor. For my cleaning needs, I will continue to by Pledge until something very special comes out and it will need to be VERY special to sway me away from this one. I give Pledge a Dooyoo rating of 5 stars out of 5. Spectacular product by Pledge.
