You start off with stripped wood that is rough, stained and with flecks of paint and end up with wood that looks like new. The sander seemed fine while it was working but it only lasted six months. This is going to read the same as my review of the Power Devil heat gun because both have been a let down. The Power Devil sander looks similar and has similar features to more expensive models by Black and Decker or Bosch. I think it was about £10 cheaper (somewhere around £15). I bought a Power Devil Orbital Sander, from Screwfix, last year. Just recently we had to have a new Hot Water Tank put in. The Hot Water tank was about 5 cm taller then the old tank and so I lost a whole shelf in my airing cupboard. So I got to work, using my sander to sand down pallet wood, from a pallet that I dismantled, the finished wood had a lovely smooth surface with rounded off edges. Now I have a new lovely finished off shelf in my airing cupboard just above the remaining shelf, it hardly took any time. Would have taken a long time by hand.
