When I first moved in with my partner we got a new flat together and were quite young - me 20 and him 23 and I was still at uni so income was low and we were more focused on buying all kinds of baby bits than splashing cash on household items. We had a really cheap, basic toilet brush from Argos that was broken (somehow the handle came apart!) and so in line with my dedication to my New Years resolution to fix up our flat bit by bit I browsed on Amazon for a really nice toilet brush. It may seem like an unnecessary expenditure but I really want my bathroom to look lovely and so when I spotted this Toilet Brush online into the wishlist it went!
I have my mindset that I want my bathroom theme to now be black and white, so I am on the hunt for some soft, elegant black bath mats but this matte black toilet brush looks really lovely. It comes in a metal cylindrical holder with a black square design around the rim and has the usual discreet look where the handle of the brush pops up through a hole in the lid. It is a decent size; 38 x 10 x 10cm and sits effortlessly in the corner of my bathroom near the toilet for easy access to use.
Now we all know what toilet brushes are for so I won't put a fancy spin on things but this one does an excellent job at scrubbing my toilet clean! I generally will pour some harpic or duck down the loo and leave overnight every other night or so, and in the morning, giving a little rub with this brush my toilet looks gleamingly clean and perfect!
The brush is really good quality with thick black bristles. The handle is silver with a knob on the end for easy grip but the brush head is black and I prefer this (compared to my previous cheap white one!) as the toilet brush as it can never look dirty! The bristles always look clean and I have had this brush a good month or so now and they have not frayed or disintegrated in any way. In the bottom of the toilet brush holder, although it is metallic inside there is a small plastic dish which fits neatly in, so if the brush has some slight wet residue on it from cleaning it sits perfectly in this space so the holder itself does not rust which is amazingly ideal.
Overall I really love this toilet brush and think the whole design and look of it is fab. I got it on amazon for £6.38 (worth of amazon vouchers hehe) with free delivery but its always good to keep an eye out as prices can fluctuate. I can't fault this product at all as it does a great job of effortlessly cleaning my toilet and looks chic and goes with my bathroom theme all at the same time. I would definitely recommend this!
