I love candles and have a collection of both fancy scented ones and also practical ones! When it comes to scented candles I have discovered the delights of the Yankee candle range and am enjoying trying new ones. I also like to keep a box of plain candles in my kitchen drawer in case of power cuts, or to when I am having friends round for dinner. I have tried many candles over the years and have come to the conclusion that buying cheap candles in a false economy as they tend to burn down far too quickly. When buying basic white candles I always choose Prices candles. Prices have been making candle since 1830 and at one time were the biggest supplier of non bees wax candles in the world. They make several variants of no nonsense candles including ones to eliminate odours, red dinner candles, nightlights and basic white household candles. Prices candles are widely available and I buy from my local Waitrose. Household candles are available in boxes of 5 or 10, with the smaller box costing around £2 and the larger box costing around £4. The household candles come packaged in a distinctive red cardboard box. The candles each measure 160mm in height and 19mm in diameter. The burn time for each candle is around 5 hours. There really is little more I can add, except to say I think these basic candles are worth paying extra for as they last far longer than cheaper versions I have tried!
