Advantages: Cheap, easy to use. Great results. Long lasting, and safe to use.
Disadvantages: None.
An unusual item for me to review but I'll try as it has been staring at me today in the office.
Pritt Stick as you know is glue, it isn't strong glue but it is glue nonetheless. It doesn't claim to be a miracle glue like many new brands today, on the stick itself it states it is ideal for sticking paper and card together. This is spot on and I use it daily without any complaints.
It mainly gets used to stick down envelopes in the office. I take the old ones which no longer stick leaving the new envelopes for others. I don't mind though because I always have my trusty pritt stick to hand.
I also use it at home from time to time, wrapping presents when it comes to Christmas, and birthdays makes them look neater when using pritt stick rather than sellotape (or so I think anyway). It is very easy to use, cover the area that you want to stick and then hold it in place for a few seconds, job done.
Another use that I have found is that I glue the back of photos so that I can stick them to walls. The pritt stick has a pretty strong stick because I haven't found any photos to fall off the wall yet. Also, an important point is that once I take the photos off the wall it is really easy to wash them clean. No mark of residue is left on either the wall or the photo. So it really is 'washable' as it claims.
It is quick, and very easy to use, no messing around. It is perfect for children to use too. They will love the ease of applying it when making school projects or cards for their friends and family. It is also a very safe glue for them to use without worrying that they will stick themselves together.
There is a lot of life in the stick (20g) that I use. Without a doubt a few months supply. For the price it is you should have one at work or at home, you never know when you might need it.
Lastly, a safety remark is left on the identifiable classic white stick, it reads 'Not suitable for children under 35 months because of small parts (e.g caps). I presume the actual glue is safe around them, they just don't want them to injure themselves from the possibility of swallowing the cap. It is also solvent free.
All in all I highly recommend it.
Summary: A glue that is easy to use, leaves no marks, perfect for a number of tasks.

- 21/08/09 It is also acid free so doesn't discolour paper or photos even after a long time x |
