Advantages: sticks paper well, easy to clean

Disadvantages: not too strong for use on some of the surfaces it is advertised for!

After reading so many reviews recently on here about pritt stick I thought why not throw my five pence in and review my experience of the product!

Pritt stick is essentially a tube of glue, in a white cylindrical shape which easily pops up with a swivel of the base. It has a black lid and comes in various large and small versions so can be used by all ages. It is relatively inexpensive as I think I last bought it in WHSmith for about £2.50 but with inflation I see it is now £2.99

The pritt stick itself is a transparent sticky consistency and is supposedly good for use on wood, fabric, plastic and metal...really? Not being funny but I find this hard to fathom as it isn't that strong a solvent!

I personally own pritt stick in my little stash of "office" essentials at home along with stapler, sellotape, hole puncher etc. I use it predominantly for paper as I have a book to document my daughters progression each birthday and christmas and events like her first trip to the theatre recently when she went to see Dora live. I also have a book for myself where I keep old fashioned stuff like cinema tickets for my first date with my daughters dad and plane tickets from our first holiday together. I find pritt stick extremely durable and long lasting as with one quick swipe across the page the paper sticks together easily with the items I want to keep.

Pritt stick is ideal for children as it does not create an abundance of mess and washes easily off clothes as my 3 year old has let me experience! It doesn't stick on clothes and has no real smell so as to stain or leave any mark after cleaning. Overall I think pritt stick is a super invention and I would definitely recommend it for some fun arts and crafts with paper! (Although if you were building something out of wood I wouldn't really buy pritt stick for it, as not so sure it would do a great job!)

Summary: essential for my home "office" kit
