Advantages: Microwave, oven, fridge, freezer & dishwasher safe, great price, lots of uses.

Pyrex glass bowls are made from glass and are toughened to help them be long lasting and durable. They can withstand extreme hot or cold temperatures and they are fridge, freezer, oven, microwave & dishwasher safe which makes them ideal for making desserts up and then cooking them straight from the fridge or freezer and you can just throw them in to the dishwasher after use. Because these are glass no matter what you put in them they will not stain or mark in any way and they do not hold any odours or change colour over time.

These are currently available from Amazon for £4.99 but shop around as you can often find them on offer or for ridiculously cheap prices, either on their own or as part of a set. There are miscellaneous sizes available 0.5 litre, 1 litre etc but I would recommend the 2 litre for mixing pastry, cake mixes etc as the bowls are large enough to comfortably mix things or get both hands in to give things a good mix around.

I have used this bowl for a variety of uses and they keep very well. My glass bowls still look just as good as when they were brand new and I have had them a couple of years now without any stains or chipping occurring. They are extremely hard wearing and can take plenty of knocks without any damage occurring. I think that these are an essential part of kitchen whether it's for mixing, serving or just for storing things in the fridge. Also, these bowls do not scratch or chip at all and I've given them quite a few knocks in my time as I'm a little bit clumsy.

I am rating this bowl 5/5 as it's a fantastic bowl, lasts well & serves it's purpose. I can throw it about a little and stick it straight from the oven to the fridge or freezer without worrying about breakages or cracks.
