Pyrex cake dishes are made from glass and are toughened to help them be long lasting and durable. They can withstand extreme hot or cold temperatures and they are fridge, freezer, oven, microwave & dishwasher safe which makes them ideal for pouring desserts in and then cooking them straight from the fridge or freezer and you can just throw them in to the dishwasher after use. Because these are glass no matter what you put in them they will not stain or mark in any way and they do not hold any odours or change colour over time. There are two handles and the edges are fluted for making pastry or similar desserts.

These are currently available from Amazon for around £10.00 but shop around as you will find that these are available far cheaper in stores such as Robert Dyas and I would expect to pay around £5.00 for this cake dish.

I have used this dish for a couple of years now and it still looks brand new. It looks just as good as when it was brand new without any stains or chipping occurring and is extremely hard wearing and can take plenty of knocks without any damage occurring. I think that this is a great addition to cake making or pastry bases desserts whether it's for flans, tarts or just for storing mixture in the fridge. Also, this cake dish will not scratch or chip at all and I'm known for being clumsy but it's lasted my wrath well!

I am rating this dish 5/5 as it does just what I need it to do the handle is a very useful addition for getting it in and out of the oven and just for general ease of use if you want to put this dish straight on to the table.

Summary: A fantastic cake dish with two handles and fluted edging.
