Advantages: Soft and smooth feel. Does not tear easily, even when wet. Good absorbency.

Disadvantages: Probably will get used up quicker as there are few segments than the average roll.

What is it?
********
A roll of bathroom tissues by Velvet.

Special features?
*************
These are special premium quality tissues, consists of three piles, i.e. 3-ply. Especially pattern designed with a quilted effect to give an extra feel of softness.

Is it good?
********
The feel of this tissue is very smooth and soft. Being a 3-ply tissue, you can definitely feel the difference in texture and thickness. The fabric is very firm and sturdy, the individual plies are unlikely to peel away - unlike some poorer quality brands.

I'm not sure what the quilting effect does, I doubt that this is what makes the tissue softer, though the quilting does make various areas of the tissue plump up more, and thus perhaps simulating a softer cushioning quality. I think the actual softness of the tissue is largely due to the quality of the material, but nevertheless, the quilting does add some interesting visual appeal.

The tissue absorbs very well, it still holds together when wet and doesn't tear easily whether dry or wet.

As well as the bathroom, I occasionally use these on my face and for make-up as well, they could never act as an alternative to cotton pads though they don't seem too harsh for the skin and are very handy during colds.

Cost?
****
These are around £1.99 for a pack of 4 rolls, available in most supermarkets. Although the rolls look seemingly bigger than the average bathroom roll, each one actually holds fewer tissues. The general average roll usually has over 200 sheets - with these quilted rolls, they only have around 165 sheets, I suppose there is still the same amount of material there, but it's possible that these rolls would get used up quicker.

Anything else?
***********
Velvet claim to replant three trees for every one they use in the manufacturing process -so, at least it helps to lessen the guilt of indulging in such luxurious tissues, I guess... :)

Thanks for reading, xx
