Advantages: When it works, it does work well!

Disadvantages: After one can, I think my wasps may have beccome immune.

Having a wasps nest in my ceiling- (not good for someone who is as afraid of wasps as she is snakes!) I am trying my hardest to get used to grabbing the spray can rather then run out of the flat screaming. (I don't think my neighbours would appreciate it at 3am every morning!)

I have no real choice. I need to sleep, eat, and live in my home. Wasps are something I thought I would have to live with seeing as I cannot afford to have a wasp killing person put, and I live halfway up in a block of flats. I doubt killing the nest is even possible.

My next best thing? Killing them one by one, until they get the message.

Searching everywhere from Google, to asking people, I found no one had any answers. Then I saw in Tescos, Raid Wasp and Mosquito Killer. It was around £2.50 a can. It mentioned it was made with natural ingredients which I thought was a bonus as an aerosol spraying chemicals around me is not good on a daily basis. (No one is holding out for Christmas cold weather as much as I am!).

Does it work?
Well, yes and no.
Scary thing is, first spray- the one that says "erm, hello Mr Wasp, I'm over here..." and has the wasp zooming straight at your face, well, that first spray does not do anything. Maybe my wasps are immune as it worked for the wasps in my mums place. But third spray and the wasp drops. That part is quite impressive- falls faster then the speed of gravity it seems- then it's on the floor withering around for a few minutes. You have the option to spray again, but be careful- the spray can actually blast the wasp to the other side of the room where you cannot see...and the wasp can still get up and fly again in some cases, so squash while you can.

The smell -when you have sprayed the wasp about 3 times, is odd. Its like dry stones or dust. It's not a smell I like, and although the advice on the can is to close all windows and doors, I had tried this and it made no difference to keeping the wasps out. So now I have to keep the windows open. This is where I am glad the product says its made with natural ingredients. But there is nothing natural about this smell to me. And its annoying that your sat in the aroma well after the said wasp has gone, and yet does not seem to prevent the next one from coming.

I want to say this product works and give it 10 out of 10, but for those who like me, are terrified of angry wasps that fly at you and try to sting, this really needs some practice. I am onto my second can and still it takes a good few sprays until it does the trick. I am going to be looking for the stronger version or a stringer version if I can find one. This may work for you, if it does, it will work first time. If it doesn't, keep looking.

Summary: Not the best for me.

I find this better than dear old Floret however as that makes me sneeze. However you're spot on with the scent of this product.

I had a wasp nest to deal with last year. Out came the Vax from the garage!! Death by G-Force is nothing quite like anything else!

I would get in touch with the landlord or the people to whom you pay your service charge - they should be responsible for getting rid of the nest for you, Susan
