Advantages: Can be used in the home

Disadvantages: Conscience?

I bought a can of this Fly & Wasp killer as a precaution as my Husband has a serious allergy to wasp stings. He should go and get one of those portable injection kits incase he gets stung but having only moved to this city not so long ago, this is on the "To Do" list. On the plus side- I don't think being stung is that much of a common thing. I have (fingers crossed etc) never been stung ever.

As we are aware of the potential danger should my husband get stung, I bought a can of this killer spray to rid the house of flying insects and wasps especially over the summer when the windows are open a lot.

One can 300ml will cost you around £2. It comes in a nice shiny blue can with a picture of an insect being zapped on the front. The can states it is specially formulated for the control of flying insects including flies, mosquitoes and wasps. Mosquitoes do not worry me as this is the UK. I'm not aware of any swarms of mosquitoes in Leicester. But if this will kill any that are lurking around the house then its a bonus.

It is suitable for use indoors in kitchens and other rooms in domestic situations. As a precaution, if i have sprayed this in the kitchen over any plates or cutlery that is drying I always rewash everything.

Most fly sprays despite claims of a "clean indoor scent" smell like pledge or some other furniture polish. Though, I try to avoid smelling them as if they are intended to kill something I do not particularly want to ingest it myself.

Does it work?
Yes this does work. Though upon seeing a wasp I promptly hopped around the living room for a few minutes trying to catch it with the spray (like a scene from Tom & Jerry) and dispensed what upon reflection was about a fifth of the can towards the offending wasp. In reality it didnt have a chance and I now feel quite bad for the poor thing. Within a good spray onto the wasp, it fell stright downwards, as I am of a paranoid nature and expected it to come flying straight at me, I sprayed it some more until I was sure it was dead. Then I tok a tissue and cleaned up the wasp and all the bits of spray I had in my excitement sprays up the wall etc.,

It does not stain surfaces, it does kill insects. One other tactic is to close all the doors of a room and spray the spray into the room, leave it for 15 minutes then go back in. I am less patient, and decided to just go for the kill. The downside if you do feel quite bad about using this product, but it is as effective as a fly swatter if you have a good aim.

Overall as it states it is safe to use around the house and it does not smell unpleasant, and it does work, I owuld recommend this for anyone who is allergic to stings or anyone who has a fear of wasps etc., It is handy to have, not too expensive but just be aware you may feel quite bad about the whole thing if you get a little excited and it ends up like a scene from Reservoir Dogs in your living room.

Summary: Good spray insecticide for anyone who dislikes wasps or flys.
