Regina Chamomile Soft Toilet Tissue
Advantages: Soft, thick, quilted and very pretty for toilet paper!
As I've said before in other reviews I don't take my glasses out when I go shopping ect ( these are all new to me and you do feel a bit of a fool when you plonk them on your face!! VANITY!) so yet again I've done it and ended up buying something that wasn't what I thought it was.
In this case it was the "Regima Chamomile Soft Toilet Tissue" I must add in my favour I was also swayed by these because it was giving away inside the package a notepad of post-it-notes that had lots of tiny flowers on ( I love getting free gifts no matter how useless!). Well what did I think I was buying ?......Kitchen Roll!.
I was walking into my local Wilkinsons, when at the entrance there was a display of these "Rolls" which looked exactly like a really nice kitchen roll with lots of tiny daisies on it ( I've never seen toilet paper with flowers on before only the gimmicky ones that you can get at Christmas) and as the packaging has quite a lot of writing on the front advertising it's free gift you could not see the middle to spot that in fact it was toilet paper!.
I was really pleased when I bought this as I had just used my last sheet of kitchen roll, so when I got home I opened it up and could not believe my mistake. My Daughter was there and was well chuffed and grabbed one to put in her bedroom as she liked the flowers on it!.
Now as for the toilet roll itself, I usually buy whatever is on special, I never buy value as from some of the reviews I have read it has put me off, usually it is just bog standard ( Excuse the pun) nothing posh or really expensive. So I have to say that when I got over the shock of it being toilet paper I was quite surprised of how soft and thick it was for what I had paid.
It is a very heavily quilted paper with the little flowers dotted about, the perforations tear really well ( some I've had in the past have just ripped) and it is a very soft paper!.
On reading the packaging I discover that each sheet of paper has 3 layers and is enriched with a chamomile balm. It also say's that it is soft and gentle with a hint of freshness from the chamomile ( I don't quite understand that bit about freshness as I have given it a sniff and can't make anything out of that!).
So each packet contains 4 toilet rolls which are 3 ply and contain 160 sheets per roll, so not bad for 99p from Wilkinsons, I don't know if you can buy this anywhere else as I have never seen this before.
Well I don't know if I would buy this again as it seems so thick and I worry about my drains blocking up as I don't know how well this dissolves ( and I have very dodgy drains that block at the drop of an hat! well not literally!)
Anyway the good thing to come out of this is that I have a great little self adhesive note pad stuck on my spice rack ready for my shopping list and it already had one item on it TAKE YOUR GLASSES!.
Summary: For 99p for 4 rolls a good buy as it is very soft and thick!
