I paid £24.99 for my Russell Hobbs Classic White Food Steamer early in 2007 and I would not be without it. It is very easy to use and simplicity itself to clean. I did wonder if it would become one of those gadgets that would be more trouble than it was worth and end up in the back of the cupboard, as these things usually do. This electric food steamer has 3 food baskets, a lid and a rice bowl. The three food baskets have enough room to cook for a family of four. It has a 1 hour timer, which bleeps when finished. The food cooked in a steamer is more healthy and tastes better than boiled food.Vegetables are left green and crisp, and fish can be flaked easily. I bought my steamer about 4 months back. It comes with 3 food basket of varying sizes so you can stack them on top of each other. Each food basket is big enough for a medium size sea bass, and 10 chicken drumstick packed tight. The steamer does steam almost every kind of food, even cakes. My food has turned out consistently well. The only thing is that I have to watch it when I am steaming something for more than 20 minutes as the water tend to evaporate quite quickly and if you do not fill up the water compartment, it can spoil the steamer.
