I bought Sainsbury Basic Refuse Sacks because they were cheap, I thought I might as well give them a try as I like to search for bargain buys, however these were not a good purchase in my opinion.

These Sainsbury Basic Refuse Sacks are black and made out of thin black plastic. When these bags are opened, they are not very wide and I find it quite hard to secure them around the brim of the bin, out bin isn't overly large in our house, and usually the more expensive black bin bags fit nicely around it but these bin bags needed to be stretched a little to get them fitted properly.

Another problem I found with these black bin bags was that they were extremely thin, if the bin was filled up more than half, the rubbish became too heavy for me to lift them out, they ripped on me twice before I learnt to double them up in the bin to make them a little stronger.

Also they can be a little hard to tie up when you are done with them and they are filled up as they do not have any handles or a draw string, so it can be a little figity to get them tied up to throw them out.

You can buy Sainsbury Basic Refuse Sacks for £1 in Sainsbury either online or in store, this gets you a packet of 30 bags. I think that although these are cheap, these are not a really good deal, as I found that I needed to double over the bags almost every time I used these. I do not think that I will be buying these bags again.

Overall I wasn't really impressed with these bin bags, they do not really hold much weight and the brim of them was a little bit of a stretch on our bin. Sainsbury Basic Refuse Sacks are very cheap, but they are not economical, overall I would give these 2 out of 5 stars.
