I buy bin bags not to go in the bin, but to fill with trash when I am having a clear out or doing DIY, as I am currently doing my house up that's actually very often.
I didn't want to pay megabucks for something which I just throw out so I went for the Sainsbury's Basics Refuse Sacks.
**Price and Availability**
The price is 73p for 30 sacks which is excellent value for money compared to the price for non value sacks, which can be around £2.50 for 30. You can buy sacks in Poundland at £1 for 10 so again the Sainsbury's price can't be beaten in terms of low cost and quantity.
**Packaging**
The bags are rolled up as you would expect and have the typical Sainsbury's Basics type packaging which is white with orange accents on a piece of paper wrapped around the roll.
**The Bags**
I expected them to be thin but I was pretty surprised that they were SO thin, in fact when putting regular stuff in them like cardboard boxes and paper they rip really really easily. In fact more often than not I've had to put the ripped bag into another bag meaning that rather than get 30 usable bags for the 73p I end up with 15, which means I might as well just buy better bags really as the Poundland ones are actually much better quality and have a draw string. These bags actually feel really small in comparison to a regular bin liner and of course an allowance needs to be made to tie these at the top which isn't all that easy, as they don't have tie handles or a draw string or anything like that. They won't hold much weight (and I'm talking household waste here) either.
Overall, I'm really not impressed by these Sainsbury's Basics Refuse Sacks at all.
**Recommend?**
I really can't recommend them, in fact the last few I had on the roll I stuck on the floor and used them to protect the carpet when I was painting, they were useless as bags and I shall never waste my money buying them again, I was very glad when the roll was finished. Some things are good in the Value and Basics type banners but these refuse sacks aren't, they're just a waste of money.
One out of five from me unfortunately, these bags aren't worth the hassle.
Summary: Save your cash
