Me and my mum had a mad declutter today and as it was planned she brought a load of cleaning stuff and a roll of Sainsburys Basics black bags. Our plan was one 1 bag of junk out of every room and it was easier than we thought because these bags are very small! They are thin as well. You can't put anything sharp or bulky in them at all ... I shop at Sainsbury's regularly as I feel they provide good quality products and I regularly buy Sainsbury's basics products with few complaints. However I was disappointed with the Sainsbury's basics refuse sacks. ~Pros~ The upside to these refuse sacks is the price, however you expect not too pay much for Sainsbury's basics. ... I have been following the reviews of this product recently and have noticed that most people find them to be average. Here is my opinion on them. I purchased 30 bags from my local Sainsburys for the bargain price of 71p which seems to be the standard price now for 30 refuse sacks from a supermarket. In our house all goods ... It wasn't actually my fault that I ended up with these refuse sacks. I have used very cheap brands in the past and not been impressed, however when I sent my granddaughter into the supermarket the other day and asked her to get black bags these are what she came out with. At 71p for 30 bags, these are very reasonably priced compared to ... Read the complete review

A roll of 30 costs 71p, making them dead cheap, but is it worth it? We all know what it's like with bin liners. On the one hand they're being thrown away, so why pay a lot for them, but on the other, they sure do rip and tear a lot don't they, and the last thing you want is old crap all over the floor. These cheap-o ones aren't too bad. ... Read the complete review

As in common with most people I am trying to downshift with some of our grocery shopping and keep trying various items in the Sainsbury's basic choice to see if it they are as good as the regular items I would buy. When I saw these on the shelf I thought wow a basic bin bag how bad can it be and how hard can it be to get wrong. Oh to be Mystic Meg ... Read the complete review

--The Background-- ****************** On the face of it, a bin bag, is a bin bag, is a bin bag, and largely speaking what do you do with one? You fill it with rubbish (refuse), and you throw it away. No? So with that in mind, if you could purchase a whopping 30 of them for 70 pence (at time of writing). That would be ... Read the complete review

Being a student I'm always looking for ways to save as much money as possible. Bin liners are just a big plastic bag that you put into your bin to contain rubbish, so I thought that surely they can't differ that much from one brand to the next? So I decided that I would give Sainsbury's basics bin liners a try. The bin liners come in ... Read the complete review

I refuse to buy expensive in bin bags considering that they are already in the bin before they get thrown out anyway. I always buy the cheapest Asda ones but got caught short a few weeks a go and had to pick up some of these from Sainsburys. They come in a roll of 30 and cost 71p. They have a perferated edge and they do peel off very ... Read the complete review

Review of Sainsbury's Basics Refuse Sacks **The Product** Bin bags, or to give them their Americanised name, Refuse Sacks are a necessary evil. We have the Wheelie Bin system in our town so no longer use them as much as we used to, but they are still sometimes required, mainly for wrapping objects to store in the shed ... Sainbury`s basics, not an exactly mind blowing title for the range but very apt. I have recently started to explore the range of over 550 products and I don't think that I am the only one by any means. Every time I wander around our large well stocked and spotlessly clean Sainsbury`s store there are countless people calculating the savings ... Read the complete review

I had just settled down to watch "Eggheads" when the peace was shattered! "Mum! The bag's split", came the plaintive cry. I rushed to the rescue to find daughter holding the black sack she had tried to retrieve from kitchen bin and trying to prevent it spilling its contents but there was already a mess of old teabags ...
