Advantages: Great Price, Gives Clothes A Nice Scent.
Disadvantages: None.
Although I often use a 2 in 1 washing powder I have been known to also use Fabric Softener on top as I really like the feel & smell that it gives to my clothes & bedding. My current fabric softener of choice is the Sainsbury's basics one as it is very reasonably priced with 1 litre costing just 50p which is a bargain compared to similar products.
I have found this bottle to last for around 15 washes as I use 60-80ml per wash and I always find this to be ample for softening clothes and giving everything a lovely clean, freshly washed scent. I believe the cap makes you use a little more than is actually needed so I normally just judge what I need based on the load rather than just using a capful.
It comes packaged in a plastic bottle with a screw top lid which also doubles up as a measuring cap and I find this really useful as I can just get the bottle out from under the sink and not need to have anything additional to hand just to get this in to my washing machine. I never seem to use an entire capful but it is a handy way of getting the liquid in to the machine without any spillages.
Sainsbury's basics fabric conditioner always makes my clothes lovely & soft and although I can't quite put my finger on a particular scent it's very refreshing and one that lasts for several hours on my clothes and when I move throughout the day I can really notice that I smell lovely (especially now I've stopped smoking!).
Sainsbury's basics is a fabric softener that I would recommend and my top tip for saving a few pennies is to not use as much as advised on the bottle as I always find the measure I used to be fine & this does not leave any residue on my clothes or cause any build up in the washing machine.
Ingredients: 5-15% Cationic Surfactant, Formaldehyde,Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone,Octylisothiazolinone, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate,Perfume
I am rating this fabric softener 4/5 as it's very nice, reasonably priced and is widely available so most people should be able to give this a try. I am going to be using this fabric softener lots in the future no doubt as it makes my clothes lovely and soft and does carry a fairly nice scent for something that costs just 50p per litre!
Summary: A Fantastic Bottle Of Fabric Softener.
