My brand of choice for washing up liquid is actually Persil Aloe Vera. However, for some strange reason my local Sainsbury seem to have stopped stocking it and as a result, choices are limited. It appears to be Fairy or a Sainsbury own brand version. I refuse to pay over £1 for a 500ml bottle of Persil from the nearest corner shop, so opted for Sainsbury’s Perform + Protect Rosemary & Basil Washing Up Liquid. In Sainsbury, premium brands like Persil or Fairy washing up liquid, retail at 88p for 500ml. The Rosemary & Basil own brand version sells at 79p ... Read the complete review

I don't find washing dishes a chore. Although housework is a boring necessity, I do like to see things come clean. Being easily pleased in a childish way, I have been known to put a horse rug in my washing machine at the end of the winter and then pop out during the rinse to watch the smelly grungy water flowing into the drain. The browner it is, the more satisfaction when I take it clean from the washer. No need to do this with my dishes, but I have never minded washing up. My choice has been to go for a good own brand rather than a real cheapie as I believe you get what you pay for. Even if the contents work reasonably well, I have found that the ... I am always on the look out for a bargain and will give something a try if it might save me a few pennies in the long run and this product was no exception. This is a white plastic bottle with a red/orange flip top lid and the usual 'Basics' orange packaging. The lid is very easy to use even with wet hands. Just flip the lid and pour some of this on your dishes or under running water. I usually put some of mine under hot water and then a generous squirt on a sponge to help me produce lots of bubbles to make sure the dishes are scrubbed clean. There was a fair amount of bubbles from this washing up liquid but there wasn't too much of a scent but ... Read the complete review

I hate washing up, I really do! However my Mother does most of the cooking in our home and with that in mind and no dish washer (and me living at home and my Step-Dad being a lazy so and so lol) I do (of late) do more than my fair share of washing up! For 3 people and a dog we don't half make a lot of it, it's shocking and I'm always banging on about it lol. The Packaging.... I'm specifically reviewing the 'Lemon Grove' fragrance/flavour here just so we're clear lo! It comes in a 500ml clear plastic bottle with a light yellow label to the front of it and a white one to the back of it and a red plastic flip top lid concealing a small hole ... This is for a specific Sainsbury's Washing Up Liquid, but dooyoo have directed me to write it here...... The washing up liquid being reviewed is part of the Sainsburys Active Naturals range. It is an Anti-bacterial liquid based on extracts of Rosemary and Basil. **The Packaging The liquid comes in a tall, clear plastic bottle. It is a nice shape and has a white cap that you pull up to allow product to be dispensed and push down after use to prevent clogging. I've almost finished my bottle and there is no residue around the cap, so nice and clean and no wastage. ** The Appearance The liquid is blue, and I'm sorry ... Read the complete review
