PACKAGING

This comes in a long bottle made of tin with a rather funnily shaped plastic green top on it. Look down into the lid and you will see a button which you press down to release the fragrance. The button is also colored green. The main colors on this bottle are white and green and there is a rather nice picture on the front of green hills, trees, pink flowers and a stream.

You will see the Oust label wrote in a deep blue color on the middle of the front of the bottle and you will see wrote at the bottom S.C Johnson "a family company" This is written inside a blue rectangular shape with white writing. You will also see the words eliminates odours without just masking. This is written on the front with purple colored writing. On the back you will see more details written in blue. I find the lid takes quite a push to get it to spray which is slightly irritating.


WHAT DOES IT CLAIM TO DO?

This claims to eliminate odours without just masking them, it says it has a special formula that neutralizes bad odour molecules in the air, such as pet, bathroom, smoke and musty/mildew odours which will leave your home smelling clean and fresh.


DOES IT WORK?

Yes it does but in my opinion only temporarily, my mum describes it as a quick fix because when you need rid of a smell whatever it may be, for instance if your dog goes or your using it to get rid of the smell of smoke. It does work at the time that it is used but if you leave the room and come back after a short while the fragrance has usually already vanished.

It lasts long enough until the smell that you want rid of goes away but it doesn't leave lasting freshness. When you first spray it your hit with the lovely fresh smell of it and it is very pleasant. The scent is named outdoor scent and it does smell like the outdoors and basically fresh air.


WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW.

The bottle is extremely flammable and it warns you that you should keep it out of reach of children. It also tells you to keep it away from sources of ignition - no smoking, and also that you should not breathe in the spray and too only use in well ventilated areas.

It tells you to use it you should shake the can well and point it towards the center of the room and spray to eliminate odours. It is not for use on fabrics. People suffering from perfume sensitivity should be cautious when using it and because its a pressurized container it should be kept away from sunlight and shouldn't be exposed to temperatures exceeding 50°C.

The bottle should not be pierced or burned even after use. It shouldn't be sprayed on a naked flame or any other incandescent material and if it comes into contact withyour eyes you should rinse immediately and seek medical advice before spraying this remove birds and after use you should ventilate normally before returning birds to the treated area. You will also see the warning at the bottom of the back of the bottle which warns you that solvent abuse can kill instantly.

MY OPINION

I think this smells really nice and fresh the bottle is quite big but it doesn't last long when used regularly but it is great if you want to eliminate odours from pets or smoke or any other ones.

My mum got them on offer in tescos for £1.50 and she got two bottles for that price. I think that they are reasonably priced and they are nice but i prefer the febreze candles til oust because they come in lots off different scents and i think they are nicer. My favorite is vanilla, they really leave a nice long lasting smell and are really lovely.

When this is sprayed there is quite a mist of it but it drops too the ground and disappears quite quickly. I wouldn't use it solely as a fragrance because it doesn't work for that. It does definitely remove the odours you want rid of though. I like things that last longer though and i didn't find that this did.
