great board for organising the chaos

For the last three years this Magnetic Notice Board has been the one to which I've attached those bits of paper I really don't want to lose, from birthday invitations, to business cards, vouchers and even a photo or two they all get attached to this 45cm by 45cm magnetic notice board.

I bought this product after my customary long search for the perfect thing for the space I had in mind - an empty bit of wall in the kitchen in this case. It cost me a grand total of £34 from www.presentprovider.com, and this particular board and a range of other contemporary designs are still available from that site for a similar price. At the time I bought my memo board it seemed to cost around £50 with the extra magnets I wanted from other shops on line, so I really feel that I got a bargain! You can get other pictures from dolly mixtures, complete with sweetie magnets, to a beach - with shells, and even a cow print with pink udders to attach things to the board. There really is something for every taste and you can also buy a slightly smaller board or one that has a dry wipe planner on it. Me, I quite like the bright blue cloud print, the bits I can actually see underneath all the notices that is, but obviously other themes may appeal to you more - they all have a contemporary and modern look.

The board came with four airplane magnets, with extra ones being purchasable for a very reasonable 75p each, I rounded up the planes to make a fleet of ten which has seemed to be a reasonable amount to own. They are made of a kind of resin and mine are in varied colours, I have a couple of dark blue planes as well as the one of the colours pictured on the board in the photo above. The magnets are extremely strong and I rarely have a problem with things falling off, they will hold, eg a takeaway menu or letter from school. The board is an enamelled metal I think, the finish of the picture itself is very good and the whole thing looks just as good as the day I bought it, there are no scratches or marks on it at all. It has a slightly shiny finish and is just the right size I think, any bigger and I know that I would just end up accumulating needless bits of paper rather than having the things I really need to access easily at hand.

The board was, from memory, slightly tricky to attach to the wall, the screws were supplied but there are only two holes mid way down the board with which to fix the screws. That said, once attached, there have been no problems with the board coming away from the wall and it does feel secure. The board curves slightly and is a real feature in our room and I really love it.

If you are looking for a board I would really recommend checking out this one or other designs in the range, it's a little bit unusual, works well and was a great buy in my opinion. Highly recommended.
