... I wouldn't know as I've only washed at 30 and though it washes okay I wouldn't call it outstanding. I have hand washed with it but the water needs to be warm to dissolve it properly. This is a biological washing powder which is great for cleaning, but not so great if you've got sensitive skin- biological powder can sometimes fade colours too (my sons black school jumper for example). I was surprised to read that this powder isn't suitable for wool and silk. Sometimes I find it can be a bit irritating- but maybe on ...more

Surf Essential Oils Lavender & Oriental Blossom Washing Powder: This one is essential. (551 words)

For me a nice washing powder gives my clothes and bedding a much longer smelling fragrance and much softer too and although I have bought the cheaper brands I always find myself certainly not liking them as much as the branded ones. The branded ones obviously are much higher in price but the reason as we all know is because they do wash and smell so much better. This one was priced at just £2.10 for 800g and I bought it from Asda, it comes in a cardboard box and the powder inside is a soft texture of tiny white grains with a few blue grains added to the powder and the powder does smell really nice once the box has been opened by the strip that is around the ...  Read the complete review

Great everyday washing powder! (631 words)

When it comes to washing it's one of my favourite pastimes! I love it and I love clean feeling, looking and of course smelling clothes and I tend to be someone who washes a lot because I'm the sort of person that wears something half an hour and then it gets thrown in a washing basket and I've always been the same way lol. Living at Mums it drove her mental but now I'm staying with my mate I have no one to nag me and I am dead chuffed that I can do someone else's washing too! Cos I get through so many washing products my mate, when out shopping decided to get a huge box of this! I was delighted and particularly liked the sound of it! The ...  Read the complete review

Surf Essential Oils Lavender & Oriental Blossom Washing Powder: Love or loath Lavender.. (893 words)

When it comes to buying wash powder I like to usually buy one that is on special offer because they can be often at almost half the usual price and so it really does make sense to buy it if seen on an offer to save money because we all need to wash our clothes etc and it is an essential buy at the supermarket, so when I spotted this one on offer I bought it and stocked my cupboard until I needed to use it and it is one that I am currently using at the moment. It comes in a cardboard box, the box is a nice Lilac colour with the name clearly on the front of the box, the one I am using is 800g and I paid only £1 for it at the time from Asda and it was around half ...  Read the complete review

I normally buy Daz or Aldi washing liquid but seeing Surf Essential Oils with Lavender Powder on offer ages ago I bought it. Made by Unilever it currently it costs around a fiver for 2kg which equates to 25 washes and is widely available. I usually get more than that out of these boxes. The box is sturdy cardboard and looks nice in lilac with Surf printed on it, and tells us that it's 'Gorgeous Value' and that it's 'Surf with essential oils' my box was as above but I think it's a bit different now. The box has loads of info. It claims outstanding washing at 15 degrees but I wouldn't know as I've only washed at 30 and though it washes okay I wouldn't call it ...  Read the complete review

Surf Essential Oils Lavender & Oriental Blossom Washing Powder: Gorgeous Value as it Says on the Container (298 words)

We have been buying Surf washing powder for a while now and our current favourite is the one in the very attractive lilac coloured box box called Lavendar and oriental Blossom. We buy a box which will give us around thirty washes (sometimes less, depending on how dirty the clothes actually are) and this costs us around £5.50 but sometimes it's on offer and we can manage to get a box a fair bit cheaper. Personally speaking though, we don't manage to find it on offer that often! The smell is lovely and fresh with a background hint of lavendar and outdoor freshness and it hits you just as soon as you open the box lid. It is a white grainy powder with the usual ...  Read the complete review
