Advantages: Great fresh smelling clothes, Could for stain removal

Disadvantages: Pity about the TV commercial!

I firstly came across this laundry tablet in my local Tesco’s. It was on special offer so l gave it a go – l bought the tablets which (I think) were £2.79 for 18 tablets or 9 washes.

So, why choose Surf Tablets?

PACKAGING – the packaging is excellent. A compact box which holds the round tablets. They are colourful, as well – Sun Fresh is a lovely tangerine colour. The boxes are easy store – they do not take up too much precious cupboard space.

SMELL – They leave your clothes smelling very good. You know like how your mum always could get them smelling! I love that initial smell wafting at me when l open the washing machine door.

CLEANING POWERS – These two little tablets in their little net back can sure shift a lot of dirt! David (my partner) plays cricket regularly, and always has his cricket whites stained – green from grass stains and red as he rubs the ball on his whites to get better spin (what’s that all about l ask you!). Anyway, the little miracle worker Surf Tablets regularly take the punishing beating involved in removing such stains – l have yet to be let down.

ADVERTISING – In Northern Ireland we have actress Mary Nightingale (Biddy in Glenroe which is an Irish version of Corrie) blathering on about Lever Brothers giving you money back, whilst in a supermarket and some silly looking teenager drooling over her and the box of Surf! It is actually a really crap advert and really annoy, but l remember it so something must be sinking in!

Unfortunately, l cannot comment on the other 2 smells as l always go for the Sun Fresh.

Apart from the Tablets, surf is available in 2 other formats
 Powder – the traditional biological powder, w
hich goes into the drawer of your machine.
 Liquid – you can place the liquid in the machine directly in a ball (just like the tablets) or into the drawer of the washing machine.

WEBSITE – I found a web site for the product at http://www.surf.co.uk – you will find all the details required about the Surf range products, a washing guide, top tips and a competition. Its not a bad site, being bright and colourful and easy to navigate around – but it is about laundry products so lets not get too excited!

OVERALL – I use Surf Tablets because l love the Sun Fresh smell and they clean my clothes. Surf is less expensive than other brand names its widely available in all supermarkets and has an annoying TV commercial!

REMEMBER – if it doesn’t do exactly what it should do and you are not satisfied, then Lever Brothers will give you your money back!
