I have a Pledge Dust and Go cleaning system, and if you have read my opinion on it, you'll know I think it's great for cleaning wooden floors. However, the one draw back of it is that it quite expensive to buy the replacement cloths. However, I have now discovered something which will make using it slightly cheaper.
The other day I need to buy some more cloths. When I went to the supermarket, they didn't have any of the Pledge cloths, only the 'Swiffer' ones. The Swiffer system is exactly the same as the Pledge one, a flat headed mop which you attach disposable cloths to. The cloths looked the same size, and I noticed that the Swiffer cloths are quite a bit cheaper than the Pledge ones. So rather going home empty handed I brought a small box of Swiffer cloths, to see if they fitted the Pledge mop I already had. And they do! The other good thing about the Swiffer cloths is that they are sold in large packs. Pledge cloths only come in packs of ten, but you can buy the Swiffer ones in a pack of 32. They cleaned the floor just as well as the Pledge ones, but for less money. Can't be bad!
If you don't already have a Pledge mop, you can, of course buy the complete Swiffer system, which comes with it's own mop.
