My husband loves gadgets, any gadgets. So when he saw the spiffer system at Tesco at £6.99 instead of £12.99, he pursueded me to let him buy it! We had received a free sample of the cloth through the post so I knew that the cloth was good.

But would the mop type thing be of any use?

Because we don't have a suitable floor, I tried it on the walls in the hallway. The cloth came off filthy! The walls didn't look particularly dirty, but obviously they were!

Then came the ultimate test. My son's room. I dusted his telly and shelves. They were thick with dust, but even with the sun streaming through the window, I couldn't see much dust floating around. This has got to be good for anyone with asthma.

The cloths are not cheap, in fact they are expensive and you just throw them away. But you can keep them for a while until they get really grotty.
